Let's trade Randle for peanuts now. All the "stars" are coming next year... right? <inserts hurl emoji>
I'm right there with you. This wasn't a scenario I had anticipated or thought one second about. George could either love playing with Russ, or he could tire of it like Durant. Russ could sign that extension now, or George could spend the season recruiting him to LA with him. I have no clue what this means.
It's so much better than him going to CLE or BOS that is for sure. This is great news for us. And IND continues to make me laugh
Yeah, unless there is more involved, this is not objectively better than Randle, JC, and the 27th&28th picks. Sabonis averaged 5 ppg and Oladipo is overrated. They wanted to spite us and they did. Well, at least he didn't go to Boston. Ha ha, Boston passed on Butler for this.
I dont think they gambled at all, i have a feeling they regreted oldalipo ext since day 1 and sabonis is a meh prospect anyways
Not great news, but good news. Listen to this: 1)Westbrook couldn't win with Durant, that team isn't going anywhere. 2)All those Boston, Houston, Cleveland rumors were now obviously smoke by Indiana. 3) That's a TERRIBLE package from OKC and Indy took it just to spite us. 4) I think of all the scenarios, George staying in OKC is among the lowest. 5) I could actually see OKC flipping him to us for Randle/Clarkson at the deadline if he doesn't sign an extension. 6) There is no cap space in Oklahoma. They cannot extend either George or Westbrook without making significantly more moves to get under the cap. 7) This was basically a salary dump for the Thunder. If/when George leaves, they just got rid of a lot of salary and all it truly cost them was Oladipo. 8) I could see BOTH of them with their eyes on LA after this season... 9) If Indiana couldn't keep George in a small market, there's almost no chance OKC does it. 10) F*** Pritchard and his games. The Lakers have a great shot at him now.
