T-Rob multitasking. Nice. It would be both sad and ironic if he went out in a deal for PG now I'm in the "PG in summer 2018" camp for a few reasons: PG has a direct line of communication with our FO through Kobe about his intentions. I believe Kobe and PG both think the move to LAL is in George's best interests and I think Kobe's already guiding him that way. Both will play it in the media like they aren't talking about it much. If PG comes to LA as an FA in '18, somebody gets screwed. Bad. Indy, C-Bags, Cavs whatever. It benefits us as it probably takes a major player out or damages them badly. I only worry about one team trading for PG and that's Pop and the Spurs.
The upside of a PG in FA2018 is not giving up any asset thus being able to keep players we think are more valuable to the team and dispense those that are less. The downside is, missing the opportunity to have PG settle and adjust to the the team, its system & his new teammates and possibly make a run for a playoff spot this season which in turn would then make our team more appealing to top tier FA come 2018. Dilemma is, either by giving up assets perhaps too much just to land him, we won't be sure if our team would perform well let alone make it to the playoffs which would put an end to any scenario of a big splash in FA2018 or PG may find success to his new team that would make him stay there for good and we all miss the opportunity to land him and all the perks that goes with having him. Either way, if Ball & Ingram turn out to be the players we hope them to be, we'd still be in a good position in the long run because I believe that's the huge leverage we're working with, those two having enormous potential. Otherwise, we're in for another disappointing bust. Like at least another 5-year bust. In short, by the looks of it, either we gamble for something very uncertain or we do not risk anything for keeping things that aren't exactly that valuable. Which odds would you wanna go with? That in a nutshell is our predicament or is there anything I don't understand here? Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Good job by OKC. There wasn't a single rumor with them in it, that's how you do it. That team will be fun to watch... i can see PG staying .
Hey, I'm okay with him going to OKC. They may not even beat HOU let alone the Warriors and PG is going to sign an extension with them. NO F'ing way. This is perfect for us
This is potentially very bad depending on what other moves they can make. Westbrook might immediately sign that extension they offered him after getting this news, this could be a hell of a duo. George could absolutely love playing with Westbrook if he pulls the ballhogging back even a notch.
You really think PG would agree to sign an extension. PG and Westbrook is not enough to do serious damage to GSW that's for sure.
