I don't. I hope he ends up with a reasonable assortment of promising young talent. You know, something like Clarkson, Kuzma, Bryant, Nwaba, and a future pick.
Ok folks here's the lay of the land. Paul George wants to come to his hometown team. He wants to play for Lakers not clips. Swing that NO team in the next 2 years has a chance of unseating the warriors even if someone prys away Igodoula any team that trades for him will just get one year of service. He's put Indy into a bad situation, by saying he wants to leave for Lakers. They won't get equal trade value, the best they can do is get something of value even if it's only worth 30% of his value. Their best bet is to take The offer from Cavs, Houston and C Bags don't really have anything to offer and if I'm Indiana I'm taking a couple of pics with players as well. There's no need for us to trade for him he's coming here anyway. He's not going to commit to any team past this year anyway. Houston is not getting past The Warriors and The Celts won't beat the Cavs and the Cavs ain't beating the Warriors. LeBron is Not enough to keep him in Cleveland either. Anyway you look at it he's coming to the Lakers. All this mis info is to get rankings and to get people to listen. With Magic at the helm and all the distinction gone LA is a desirable place to be. With bringing in Lopez we did t lose any points and gained significant inside presence. Add PG 13 in the mix with another good player and you have a team that can take on the Warriors. Because the Lakers want shooters and defensive players with length and size. So they can easily switch on the pick and roll and it doesn't matter who they guard. So chill out PG 13 will be parking at the staples center opening season of 2018
the new rumor is Pritchard is asking Bos for the LAL/Sac pick they got from Phi AND Bk18 AND starter/starters. IF thats his asking price, PG ain't going now where lol
Not only is Boston not giving that, eventually they'll be uninterested in PG13. Once the season starts Indiana is screwed.
Pretty much, but I think the Cavs will still be a threat to grab him right up to the trade deadline as Gilbert gets itchy for one last title shot before LlllleBron bolts for the beach.
Hmm..his opinions probably don't carry enough weight when the president of basketball operations won't even say "The Lakers" out loud. That's childish, petty as f***, and I'm still shocked he even said it in a public forum.
Indy knows offers arent getting better imo, feels like indy just wants to spite and punish lal and pg
The way the Indiana GM has handled this, I fully believe he would take a lesser deal from another team than deal with us.
i highly doubt it happens, but i wonder what PG would do if he's still on the pacers when the season starts
Try to be a professional and go about his business. But the press and media and each city won't just stand on the sidelines, they'll want to ask him everything and it will become very tiresome for him.
how could indy justify taking a lesser deal though? and how could pritchard even keep his job if he did that? sacrificing the team's future for pride or ego is definitely going to cost you your job and if indy took a lesser deal they would have tons of explaining to do you think the fans would be cool with a GM who took a crappy deal and ruined the team's future just because he didn't want to give in to PG's demands? they'd be calling for his head
Where is Indiana's ownership in all this? Do they have a clue or are they a good owner(s)? Have they been heard from? It's clear to everyone else what's going on with the anti Lakers cutting off own nose to spite face stance at this point.
Just my opinion but LA is the lesser deal lol, at least draft day offer. But since we dont know what La is offering now, its pretty easy to spin that magic/rob didn't really offer all that much, given the circumstances I think most would believe that. Unless Indy takes like mem pick and lac pick and just crowder or something along those lines from Bos than I could see KP being called out.
They won't have to justify anything. Have the Clippers or Bulls had to justify what they traded away for Paul and Butler? Only teams like us get letters written to the league by Mr. Comic Sans comlaining when we make a big deal. I remember people complaining when we got Pau for Kwame, McKie, Crittenton and an unknown Marc Gasol too.
You guys care way too effing much what other people think lol. Paul George is the hot chick here... Theres a huge interest between you and the hot chick. Hot chick knows youre the one for her, you must stay patient cause getting too desperate might turn off the hot chick especially if hot chick lead you on some and turns out she really doesnt know what she wants... Youll still be around, ball is in her court though. Sometimes you got to take a step back so the other person comes closer 2-3 steps.
I don't love this analogy. We might have to wait for the hot chick to bang another guy for a year before she comes around to us? funny:
