I understand your skepticism, but Vegas has Ball as the odds on favorite for the award. I don't think it's out of the question at all. Although part of that is because Fultz and Simmons are considered rookies next year and will steal each other's votes.
Thing is, with Luke set to completely hand Ball the keys I do think he will have a legit shot at the award if we can add some shooting.
Do you know who's going to be rookie of the year? Dennis Smith, Jr. Carlisle is going to wonders for that boy...
He's going to s*** the bed, but every rookie does; he's not Lebron or Magic coming in; although, that's what I hear...
We'll see. I know some are convinced, but I don't see it. I wanted to like him while I watched his games and instead I hated it. Hot and cold motor... I hope he proves me wrong too because he's an electric athlete.
Oh yeah. I think he will be in the mix. Fultz is going to get plenty of chances to put up numbers too.
It's not that I think of Dennis Smith JR, that highly, it's that I think that much of Carlisle as a coach...
Rookie of the Year? I gotta go with Simmons if he can stay healthy. Huge if, I know. But his size and passing? Amazing. If he's hurt or Fultz takes votes, yeah, Lonzo will be in the mix.
There you go LaVarBallsDad .... what more proof do you need? Hop on! At least it's an open air ride unlike the frickin' tank you stuck me in.
Couple nice mid-range shots there. This kid has so much b-ball IQ. It's going to be really fun to watch him in the P and G running the system for Luke.
He does look sluggish and tired in that clip, I can see why he asked for a 2nd meeting and workout. Can't prove he was sick that day, but I can't say I don't believe him based on how he was moving and sweating.
I hate excuses and I never heard it out of his mouth, but the fact that he requested them to come to his house, see his workout routine, go through their workout, and they drafted him tells me he really was sick (or was recently sick that affected his endurance).
