    Hahaha...

How can Paul George refuse the seductive allure of such offer from the man he and his family basically consider as a god of basketball next to Kobe.

But we couldn't care less if that's true. What's done is done. Deal with it.

    Yep.

Let's hope LaVar Ball's prediction comes true.

Then there is no doubt Paul George will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.

They've had 6 years of Paul George. 6 effing years. And all they can bring him is Monta and Al. Those were their biggest acquisition for a player like Paul George and it's his fault now? Or it's LAL's fault? A team willing to spend and give him what he deserves?

Jim Buss would've panicked and traded Ball and Ingram for George.

    Magic is not.

That's why I have full confidence in his ability to lead this franchise back to NBA supremacy.

He has a vision and I look forward to seeing that vision come to fruition.

Johnson also is willing to cut bait on someone he feels will not be a fit for the team regardless of draft position and perceived talent. He might see the talent but evaluates their personality along with their professionalism.

When the results are there, nightlife isn't looked at, but when you have been apart of the worst Laker years in their history, do terrible interviews, go out with high celebrity skanks, all those things get magnified.

Dlo can be harden II. Very easily. He will need free reign like he has in Houston. But he probably wont win anything. Clarkson is a 6th man at best. Not bad for a 2nd rounder, so I am not gonna harp on him too much. Julius is in the middle, he has shown flashes but his focus 1/4 of the time. If he makes it 4/4, he will be very valuable. The NBA pros seem to have those observations, it isn't hard to see in basketball.

Jim wouldn't have traded Ball and Ingram for George; probably neither. Why? Mitch and Jim were tied at the hip and Mitch wouldn't have made those moves. Mitch didn't want to trade Ingram for Cousins even though Jim wanted to so he could save his job. Mitch did the right thing.

Mitch's glaring weakness came in Free Agency. No charisma; no vision, no plan or how they were going to execute it. Him and Jim floundered and failed in that area...

I disagree that Russell can become Harden 2.0 easily. Harden before that trade was already an All Star, on the verge of being one of the best players in the league, anyone who watched him could see that. Russell right now is a guy who just put up numbers on a bad team and was very up and down.

I'm no fan of Russell's attitude, but let's not get things twisted here.

    Player A: 16.8 points 4.1 rebounds 3.7 assists 1.0 steals in 62 games
    Player B: 15.6 points 3.5 rebounds 4.8 assists 1.4 steals in 63 games

Harden was a 6th man at the time for the Thunder and absolutely not an All-Star.

I personally don't believe Russell figures it out quickly, but I hope he does. I never liked his attitude and I thought his production didn't match his swagger. That being said, he's undoubtedly talented and has the ability to break out.

My whole take on it is, even Paul George really is all about LA, let him prove it. Prichard, Bird, Ainge...let them try to screw us now, but when we get him for nothing (if he really is about it) then in the end they screwed themselves worse.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time on it, but I'll just say I believe the talk about Clarkson's partying.

Such a change for a humble, hardworking kid raised in the boonies to a sometime TMZ storyline. Clarkson had the best attitude during the down years especially his rookie season.

I can't blame him for having fun.

I know...but those were really down years in comparison to a probable uptick this season and the next. At least that is what I expect.

I disagree. Harden was playing at a really high level and had a great impact on games playing for one of the best teams in the NBA. There's a big difference impacting the game on a bad team versus doing it for a contender. Until Russell proves otherwise he's the former not the latter. I never denied he could breakout I just don't see how anyone can argue it's likely.
