I don't care if they enjoy the nightlife if the team is winning. Magic and the 80s gang partied harder than anyone, but when they woke up the next day they were in the gym perfecting their craft and winning basketball games. We won 26 games last year. I like Jordan Clarkson as a person, but I want people here who want to win games.
To be honest, yes. I want to shed that salary and those picks can help move Deng out eventually. It's likely the Lakers lose both Randle and Clarkson due to their cap holds and salaries but if we can clear Clarkson and Deng without giving up Randle at this point, that's an ideal scenario for next summer. For what it's worth I'd trade Randle for a late lottery pick, but I'm waiting until the deadline to make that move. I'll move Clarkson right now for a 1st next year or the year after.
Magic told him we are clearing cap space so we can get you and whatever player you choose? Seems like a good deal for PG.
"Something the Lakers did" Was it the 1000th time they told PG they would love to have him in LA that finally pushed him over the edge? Alright they must mean it!!!
Indiana (Bird in particular) have no one to blame but themselves. Now it's our fault? Haha. Yeah, because we never lost a FA. we've never been forced to make a bad trade. GTFOH You don't wanna say our name? That's fine. Just refer to us as that team from 2000.
They're going to settle for pesos on the dollar and by the sounds of it, he won't come here. To be honest, it also sounds like we're being sharks in deals. I can't imagine he gets better offers for a rebuilding team post FA, but I bet we're not making it easy on them either. Rob has a reputation as a shark for a reason. Hopefully we're not burning bridges, but if Pritchard is going to be immature about this, then oh well. Either way I'm very confident Paul George is a Laker, we'll probably just have to wait a year.
basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/246460/Paul-Georges-RE-Would-Be-$94M-Over-Three-Years-Expires-When-Eligible-For-35-Percent-Max Ainge the little troll wants the entire Laker fandom to burn
i've said it many times, pritchard is hellbent on screwing us. and the media is going to heap pressure on george to go to the C Bags.
^^ Competing for and winning a championship are 2 totally different things. PG13 and Hayward don't scare GS. And Isiah is coming up for a new contract and i doubt they wanna max him, but someone will.
This is the same financial advantage that Pincus brought up for why the Lakers might be willing to trade for George and gain a financial edge.
Well at the end of the day it's up to PG. the only person that can sign an extension with Boston is him. If PG wants to be a Laker he can make it happen. Whether it's next week next month or next year.
