Which is also an asset. So Russell let's you dump a contract and add an asset and you really think two unprotected 1sts wouldn't work to dump just two years of Deng? A guy who in just one season turns into an expiring you can flip for even more assets?
^^^ It's clearly personal. He's not doing the Lakers or George any favors. Plus no GM wants to be the guy to lose a star, probably thinks he can get him to stay.
Not sure if it's been mentioned already or not but apparently Clarkson removed references from the Lakers on his Twitter page and had a few strange tweets. One where he just said "zero" ... and the next with a bunch of Pizza emojis.
Agreed. If PG hasn't been traded by the first two weeks of free agency, then I believe PG plays out the final year of his contract as a Pacer. The reason is simple: Pritchard's ego won't let him take less than fair value for PG, and no sane team will offer him fair value as the start of the season draws closer. The owner of the Pacers should fire Pritchard for failing to trade PG and acquire assets needed for the inevitable rebuild. As the article linked above said, Pritchard has set the Pacers back a whole year and possibly longer if PG ends up walking for nothing next summer.
Seriously? We added the best 5 we've had since Pau left. Ingram is going to be much better than he was the entire first half of last season. Randle is finally in shape and motivated. Lonzo is going to affect the entire offense. We have three defensive minded young players that weren't with us last year in Nwaba, Kuzma, and Hart. We are probably going to add at least one FA shooter in a 1+1 contract. No way we only win 22 games next year. I agree with you on the playoffs though.
I doubt we're tanking a good portion of the year either. I'll place a friendly wager with anyone that we win over 30. Oh wait, we got the Big Baller. 82 - 0* * Lavar co-signs this statement.
I can do better. 45+ with PG around which I still genuinely believe will happen. And oh, a playoff spot. I can't bet my username though. I think someone else has it marked already. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
I'm very high on Ingram, and I think Lonzo will be a solid player in this league. I think Ingram will be an allstar at some point, maybe more. But he's still a teenager and so is Lonzo. What we're depending on in order to be player is for Randle to figure it out. We're depending on Ingram to vault himself into all star level in only his second year. We're depending on Lonzo becoming Jason Kidd in his first year. We're depending on Brook to stay healthy for a season and to be competent on defense. We're depending on the other rooks to be able to contribute immediately. I just don't see all of those things happening, considering our biggest impact player was dropped off in a salary dump. I'll be shocked if we win more than 22 games.
You do realize 36 would be the worst record of PG ever as a starter if it happens. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
where's rodg to run his numbers on lopez vs. russell in terms of impacting the win column? as it stands, the team is very young, and the young players are entirely unproven--even for young players. historically, that's a last place team.
Where is trodgers btw? Has anyone checked on him since DAR was traded and the Lakers took Ball? Has he posted?
