lol at Joel Embid and Simmons ........ apparently with the advent of twitter and the internet you can talk 'ish without ever accomplishing something...... I have to admit ..... I'm a little leery about daddy Ball with this pick BUT at the same time I think Ball has every bit the chance of succeeding...if not a better chance.....than those 2 clowns.
Like Ingram last year, Ball was the guy I wanted, very happy with this. I think he has a shot to be the best player in the draft ultimately, he may have been the top talent.
Interesting comment from Luke on SportsNet say he places high value on winning when evaluating talent, and he had winning teams at Chino Hills and UCLA. Also mentioned on paper he sees him as the starting PG for the season, but everything in this league has to be earned.
Feel the same way people felt about after drafting Russell expecting Okafor; not high on this kid, see nothing transcendent, and he'll probably get his a** handed to him in Summer League. Whatever. Hope he takes his lumps in stride; one thing he has in the fan-base (most will be forgiving)...home town kid who everybody wanted.
I'm sure you watched plenty of UCLA games this past season. Ball is just average he's more John Kidd than Jason Kidd right?
