no boss likes to make 1/20th of his employee's salary, either. sports are a different business.

i think the league frenzy to prevent george to the lakers is very telling, btw. makes me think everyone thinks other things are going to happen.

if i'm indy, i try to dive with the wave here. but pritchard's a self-aggrandizing idiot, so i'm not going to guess at what they do. they could self immolate. but there's no such thing as a phoenix. especially in indiana.

Disappointing but it appears there's really no trade happening tonight involving the Pacers.

i get it, emotionally. practically, it's a bad decision. offers will decrease from all angles, just like they did between february and now.

i'm guessing, like houston and others, the picks came attached to long-term, big-money deals. the vultures are circling, and it's crowded.

haha how can you say this. We still have roughly 2 hours before the draft starts and then a 2 hour draft. Personally after listening to Woj and his draft team do a LIVE Q and A last night on Facebook Live where he said he could see this going into the draft I didn't expect to hear something during the day before the draft because teams get happy feet and priorities can change during the actual draft.

I'm sure the offers are underwhelming for a talent like PG.

But when you know he's a rental, whatcha gonna do?

If you didn't know what it was you don't have the big balls to do it.

Rachel Nichols, who I don't know if she's an insider technically, says the Pacers pushed hard to get the deal done before the draft in order to pressure us to trade the #2 pick. Now that we've dug in, they're in less of a rush. Deal could get done tomorrow, tonight, or a month from now. Not as much of a rush though anymore.

Going out on a limb and saying that means it gets done tonight. Draft hasn't started so it's still posturing. Everyone else knows it's dumb to drag this out.

thats ok with me if they wait post draft, the other teams offer would be even less appealing with said picks already used on players. I'd prefer to give them future picks (with protection of course) anyways. If Magic/Rob want to earn their stripes they'll do something more with 27/28th then just actually use the picks on players, we'd be like Bos pretty soon, to many players to little PT for everyone to be happy

Does Indy tells us take these guys at 27&28 then we'll see if we can do something?
