I don't have much insight into the Knicks' assistant coaches, but Phil fired an assistant coach popular with many of the players, especially Porzingis.

I liked his comment at the draft.

"We're good at what we do."

So do I. The title is written like it is actual news and accepted that this is Phil's actual intention.

Glad we aren't the Knicks and/or brought Phil back in any capacity. Hearing Rob or Magic talk about agents wanting their players here is refreshing.

I had always underestimated how much Phil would have forced the Triangle... I mean, damn. I understand it's his baby, but if 99% of the NBA isn't interested, then you need to change your tactics. Dolan is letting the Knicks crash and burn very publicly all for Phil's vanity project.

We dodged a serious bullet there.

Stephen A going off on Phil on First Take this morning: "His first move as an executive was to sign Lamar Odom. HE WAS ON CRACK!!!"

One or the rare times Stephen A has just cause to go off. The title of this thread only gets more and more true as time goes by. Putting it out there that it's in the best interest of the club to trade Porzingis, then reportedly asking for a return so high he will not be traded. Genius move to bash the guy his entire time there, then say you want to trade him, and THEN try to get superstar value back (top 4 pick and young player "on star trajectory").

Wow I almost feel bad for Phil and his massive ego, with the way he is becoming pretty much a train wreck to be watched around NBA circles.

And yeah, what real said above about Phil and his "precious" (thanks Sky) .... the Triangle. We dodged a major bullet. LOL .... (thanks Jim?? )
