Nance was great but he did seem genuinely bummed about D'Angelo being gone. Some funny stuff about him competing with Zubac in there, too.

Bynum was the best C in the game at one point. Knees and bad attitude finished him off.

Like I said a lot of the same questions and he was never better than Dwight Howard. That's why he was ultimately dealt for him.

Pretty disappointed with this transaction. Not with the decision but with the reality of the NBA market. A couple of "sources" said Magic & co. were surprised with the lack of interest for Russell. I am surprised too. With no other real trade in the horizon I see this summed as: Jim's and Mitch's incompetence got us D. Russell in the first place (a flawed, but talented scoring player) and they also cost us his services locking in the 12:05 Mozgov signing. Don't quote me, but I remember reading articles about the Mozgov signing being a Walton-approved move too, so Luke should fairly receive blame for that too. Disappointing to lose a talented player in his age, warts and all, in these circumstances.

I understand shedding Mozgov related salary is a major win for the Lakers' current situation, and also, that Lopez is an above-average offensive player. I think there is a highlight reel in the future that involves Ball-to-Brook passes and baskets. I am not happy about the Lakers' FO basically putting a lot of chips in the '18 FA market. We've been to this dance before, we prep our roster and salary for homerun FAs only to have them sign elsewhere. I hate that we have a lot riding on a homerun situation where we've recently been embarrassed by FAs in past seasons. What sucks is realizing that Magic probably exercised all other options trying to obtain PG, indicated by that failed Kings deal. I understand it's the new Magic & Rob regime brokering the FA deals... but it is still a very nervous time to be a Laker fan.

And quite likely also Walton who coached against him in the 2015 finals.

    d-lo's definitely gone into hiding

not a single word from him since the trade. i don't see why he'd be mad though. he's now the main guy in brooklyn and it's not like he'll be playing in utah or charlotte. he's going from LA to NY. he'll still be able to party

He's probably not saying anything until the trade is made official.

I can only imagine the Vinny Chase-like ego trip this guy has been having in the past few days. He's probably hyped himself up for hipsterville Brooklyn, but it will flop like Medellin.
