it has been reported that Indy turned down Randle, Clarkson, 27 and 28. Word is also out they want #2. I tell Indy, the offer stays at randle, clarkson and 27 and 28. They wanted 2 1st rounders and a starter. Randle is a starter, 2 1st rounders and a capable 2 guard was thrown in for good measure. If they can get a better deal, go get it. Lakers can wait until July 2018 to get george to LA.
I don't think the Lakers get George until next offseason. My hope is we can at least turn those two picks into either a Deng Dump, or flip them for a higher pick.
I'm with you, but I think 27 and 28 can be useful. If we're really aiming for the stars here with George and LeBron, then we'll need super cheap labor. Let's see where the draft shakes out and what kind of value we can get there. If we end up having to trade out Randle, we'll have a handful of cheap guys to fill the roster with.
They're not getting the #2 pick when they have zero leverage. They know that, and if they don't they're delusional.
Weird. The article claims Stein said it included the two picks, Randle, and Clarkson, but they link the tweet which clearly has an "or" in it:
Seems like they have more leverage than us...thats what the Pacers and media are putting out. We just have to not cave in.
Yah, my brain always goes to the article first. I was thinking the same thing. Then I realized it's Twitter and it made sense.
Since it looks like we're going for a home run free agency period next season, it's important we get PG's Bird rights. I just hope we don't overpay for him in a trade.
Yea, we sealed our fate with that move. Now Indiana is going to wait until the 11th hour to see if they can get us to panic like last year.
I am hoping to all get up that Mag isnt putting his hopes in Lebron for next year. The amount of horse**** that continues to spew from Lebron every offseason and his unloyal a**. He isn't leave the EAST. he has a cakewalk to the Finals every year. Let him stay in the east so he can end up with 12 finals appearances and 9 finals losses.
Lakers need to float rumor that they are trading 27 and 28 to another team and are waiting a year for PG13.
Its been awfully quiet on the PG front and half the day is gone already (and zero production on my part).
Agreed. Maybe the reason why the Pacers is sticking it to us, throwing mud against the wall and see what sticks. When we did the trade for Russell ahead of negotiating a trade for PG, it's virtually saying #2 & Ingram are off the table. Pacers takes a look at what's on the table and decided, 'screw that', better both of us getting screwed that us alone. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
