Julius better not be included. That would tear me up.

So the Dwight trade was reported a few hours after our trade yet it was made official already. Ours is technically still "sources say we have agreed on a trade". Nothing official.

Any thoughts as to why? I was thinking maybe because a draft pick is involved and often those aren't announced until after the pick is made, but the Dwight trade involved picks too.

    OK.

    Mozgov + Deng + Russell + 28 + Clarkson = PG + Lopez

I can somewhat live with that.

    Mozgov + Deng + Russell + 28 + Randle = PG + Lopez

    I totally can't.

    P.S.

Because there is probably more stuff we throw in.

If there is #2 somewhere, I say -- bring out the pitchforks.

I think the Pacers are just holding out to see if we panic and offer more. I think Randle or Clarkson and the picks gets it done.

Honestly I'm also thinking that whoever doesn't go for George will end up in another deal. Magic and Rob may be trying to just completely clean house of most of the Jim/Mitch guys and given the results on the floor I'm not sure I can blame them much for that mentality.

    Amen to that.

I actually saw a few people throwing Patrick Beverly's name around as a potential target. Thoughts?

Dude, I understand, but I am absolutely positive that:

    1. if they didn't botch DAR value last season he'd be valued much better. Some PR would have been nice.
    2. If they waited a little and traded DAR at deadline, the value also would be better.

We'll see. Shedding MozDeng may just be the saving grace here.

This has been a point of discussion all off-season while we've been fantasizing about our potential line up with PG13: Can either George or Ingram play the 4?

But with Russell out of the picture, is it safe to assume that we'd just have George at SG and Ingram at SF?

    Ball / Ennis
    George / Clarkson / Nwaba
    Ingram / Deng / Brewer
    Nance /
    Lopez / Zubac / Black

Assuming Randle is heading out. I think the starting line up fits together all right, but we'd need to acquire some three point snipers to bring off the bench and space the floor.

Oh I definitely agree. Our dislike of Russell was the worst kept secret in the league. I definitely think we could have gotten a higher return on that investment.

I agree but I still think they want to see if our rookie GM will pull a panic move and offer more.

It makes absolutely no sense to me why we kept loudly telling anyone who would listen about how Ingram is the only untradeable player. Russell was our best player last year. We should've at least acted like he was one of our cornerstones instead of fanning the flames of all the media reports trying to bring down his value.

Because Magic is too stupid to keep his mouth shut. No doubt in my mind. We are lucky he isn't schedule to appear on like, Fallon or something...

Oh. I thought you didn't like that deal. Someone in whom the Force is strong needs to Jedi mind trick Bird those are exactly the droids he wants with Deng the cherry on top of his sundae.

If we take all these rumors bout his attitude, his value couldve gotten worse as well. He already liked a tweet tjat said la shouldnt draft ball due to him being on the team. Whos to say he wouldnt start sulking once ball steals the spot light from him? We saw several pathetic outing last season after he was critiized...jist another way to look at it

Look I know we're all Laker fans, but there clearly wasn't better offers for Russell right now. They tried. We all thought Ford was full of ****, but the Lakers tried to trade Russell for a lottery pick and nobody wanted him. I think using him as a dump while netting a pick was the best offer we had.

The argument should be that if we waited it's possible that Russell regained some value, but maybe (just maybe) the Lakers know something we don't about the kid and how he was about to react to Ball being drafted. Maybe they knew it wasn't going to be the roses that we as fans saw on paper.

I'm just saying, I know we're all upset, but until the next shoe drops I'm going to try my damnedest to keep an open mind.

That's true. He did have a really, really hard time accepting criticism.

If that's true, Randle may be on his way out. His only saving grace right now is his body fat percentage.
