I remember reading it after the game when Russell hit the game winner for his grandma and hoped it wasn't his last shot as a Lakers player because of the rumors that there might be some changes coming.

Some stone cold truth here from Oram.

Notable names missing from their "core" are Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson... *sigh*

Mogzov was a bad contract. But who knew that contract would eventually cost us DLo.

I have mixed emotions about this trade. For starters, I have been in love with DLo, his talent, and potential since the day we drafted him. However, he never seemed to have that seriousness that comes with being a successful player. Sure, you can have fun, but there are times when you have to put the work in and to be honest, I'm not sure he ever had that. Seemed like he was always caught up in the spotlight and didn't want to put in the work. I hate that we had to give up one of our best assets and only got a late first rounder in return, but after all that stuff mentioned above plus the Nick incident, it may be best for both sides to have a fresh start. Plus, it helped us unload Mozgov, which no one will complain about.

In the end...thanks for the memories, D'Angelo. Hope you find the work ethic and seriousness it takes to thrive in this league and you are able to shine in Brooklyn. On our side, I hope we can bring in Lonzo to lead the show here, because he will probably be a better fit anyway. Hopefully, it works out for both parties.

Lonzo's rookie year just got harder with no Russell burying 3's when Ball's passes find him, and scoring off sweet passes and lobs himself from Russell. Who the f*** is going to start at the 2 now that is a good shooter and can handle his own business with the ball when needed???

Well the good news is that we don't have to worry about this because we'll probably trade #2 for George and have Tyler Ennis as our starting PG next year.

I admit from day one I've never been a D'Angelo Russell fan. However, I will miss his potential as a scorer. I won't miss his cocky attitude, turnstile defense and goofy haircuts. Godspeed DAR

You think so? I wouldn't be opposed offensively if he's kept improving, but he's a little small for a 2 and we all know defense (so far) has not been any kind of positive for him. Seems better suited to the 6th man spark plug role and playing more against 2nd stringers?

I mean, he can shoot and get to the hole. Dribbles WAY TOO MUCH for me. Not ideal, but he can definitely put the ball in the basket. Not the shooter D'Angelo is, but there are worse players.

if I had my choice, he goes to Indy with 27 and 28 and that's all we give. Well, I'd rather we gave Deng, but that's not gonna happen.
