@LT, if its Bron so be it. Dude has proven he can take a team to title town, but gasses out in the process. That's where you need the right partnership to get it done. I personally think what Durant did is more douchey. And then on top of that he attacks Laker greats like Shaq and Worthy. GTFO. My preference has always been our hometown guys.

Mr. Westbrook, please come on home. Dame & Klay might be looking our way. But if not for those guys, you can try to entice big names in small markets. Davis or KAT love them some commercial endorsements...well LA got that and we got the Magic back. Where Jimmy and Mitch constantly mucked up free agency, Magic and Pelinka will be aces.

I dont know about this move. I think they are giving up on Russell way too early. He has tons of potential, I think it maybe a mistake.

^Interesting name you bring up in Klay.

Most importantly, I could go on Basketball Insiders and not have to look at that albatross of a contract in Mosgov anymore...

Honestly, I believe this too. There's a larger plan at work here.

So whatever happened to letting the kids play together for another year?
Anyway this is good from the Nets point of view seeing how they basically get a seasoned lottery pick in exchange for Lopez. Lakers basically gain about 22 points a game. So at the very least we get someone who could put the ball in the basket, something we struggled with down the stretch in games last year. Plus he's expiring so that could be useful one way or another.
Now if only we could get rid of Deng's contract somehow....

Rebouding numbers are stunningly bad. I guess at least he can score.

    Okay. Calmer approach now.

Lopez is a solid addition for Luke's offense. I know we've heard this sort of thing before, but here's some numbers:
    - Brook was one of just two Centers to attempt more than FIVE threes a game. The other was Cousins.
    - Brook shot 34.6% from deep as a true 7 footer. He's a fairly legit threat from outside.
    - I have no idea if Randle will be on the team in an hour, but if he is, Brook is a very good fit for him with his ability to step outside the paint.
    - Lopez is one of just 11 Centers to average 2.3 assists per game or more. He's a capable passer.
    - He's also one of just 9 Centers (really 8 since one is only a 2 game sample) to average 1.6 or more blocks per game.

So about Luke wanting his offense, pace to be faster next year with Lonzo...

Yeah, I can see that being a little harder with a dinosaur in the middle, but Lonzo can feed big men pretty well.

Offense will be better and maybe Randle can get back to double digit rebounds but man will we be awful protecting the rim.

Brook could be a trail-three type of threat.

Ingram, Clarkson, Randle, and Ball push the break and look for easy shots. Brook makes them sort of dangerous in semi-transition actually.

That could change by the end of the season. "Better than Lopez" isn't some steep hill to climb. I believe in Zubacca.
