If we're trading D-Lo, it has to be something like Russell and Deng for George and additional assets.

If they took back Deng along with Russell... I'd be okay with that. Deng/Russell/#28 for George? I'm in.

I'd even take back Al Jefferson if they let us keep the #28 pick. Al's deal is non-guaranteed past 2018.

I'll be surprised if the Lakers include Russell in a trade for PG. I don't doubt for a second that the Pacers are pushing for Russell, but I hope Magic and Rob have the resolve and fortitude to say no and to instead wait to sign PG next off-season instead of trading away a valuable asset.

Nothing new; but that means that everyone else is available. IMO.

Could we play Ingram and George interchangeably at the 2 spot initially depending on matchups? Solves the logjam in starting unit with both of them at the 3 and we would be tall mo fos out there. I hope Russ stays. I hope Randle stays. I'd rather see Nance go.

More like the team that has long been the only option.

these reports are actually rather disturbing.

of freaking course we're not offering ingram and the #2. i hope we're not offering russell unless mozdeng are attached. and even then...just not sure about that.

the other suitors are most certainly offering considerably less than that.

clarkson/28/future lotto protected first should be competitive with what everyone else is offering.

That's definitely better than Russell/#28 for PG, but I feel there has to be another way to dump Mozgov or Deng that doesn't require trading away someone like Russell. Maybe I'm wrong though.

If DLO is traded i'll be pissed. Guy is realy underrated... even here, among us, Lakers fans ;-)

Apparently this guy writes for the Daily News? I've legitimately never heard of him until now.

He brings up a decent point though: despite Russell sharing an agent, it might behoove Russell to be in a system/city where he gets full reins. That makes some sense. But losing him is a calculated risk... I want George, but the moment we start bleeding these young kids out, our window starts closing and things get muddy and messy real quick.

A GM said Bird is still coming into the office everyday and has absolutely no desire to help the Lakers. Rivalry is still strong. I hope Magic realizes this. If he gives Dangelo then Bird won their final matchup.

I don't want this to happen, but if that's the only way to make it work, I'll accept it.

I will not accept trading Russell for George without getting rid of a bad contract.

No it doesn't. It means it's a tickle in Medina's butt that made him tweet pure speculation like everyone else these days save for Woj, now Ding as well when it comes to the Lakers and Ramona working her a** off this week with her good reputation always on the line.

I would be pretty surprised if they dealt Russell in the George trade. It would really underline the reports of them being unhappy with his sort of professionalism.

That's where I'm landing @therealdeal. Giving up Deng in a potential George deal would be nice; how much cap space would we have to work with next year if that happened?

Russell getting brought up is interesting, to truly get rid of Moz Deng you'd need to get rid of one of your young pieces. But why would Indiana be doing us that favor? They are already giving us their best player, plus, don't people around the league hate DAR, at least that was what was said earlier today.

Did you see PG play the 2nd half of the season? He's a legit top 11-15 player when healthy and you're probably getting him for 4-5 years. Number 1? Probably not. Number 2? Absolutely and easier to recruit FA's...

as much irrational hatred as russell garners (both here and elsewhere), he is the lakers best player. and even though george has threatened to leave other places to come here, things could go south and you could end up with nothing.

like, remember when kobe tore his achilles and steve nash broke his leg? those were things that turned gambles into despair. say george comes here for russell and the 28, then, i don't know, ingram is caught selling heroin and lonzo ball's a bust.

i'm doomsdaying, but the point is that russell is pretty important--more important than other players the pacers are being offered for george. gotta hold firm to the leverage.
