I think this was the catalyst for PG's agent making everything public. Put the screws to the Pacers front office
"Pacers don't want to do George any favors" Ohh but you will because you are a small market team and don't want the slight chance of attracting a superstar there to be ruined when PG tells them the FO did him dirty and not to go there. Yea it sucks losing a big time player (We've been there) and yes it sucks having your brand put into the ground (Yea we've been there too), but as a small market team that cannot afford to be known as that type of franchise, you will do PG a favor, for your future's sake.
Cavs moving on from George for Butler or using Butler for leverage. So much craziness, I've been about 80% productive today and I'm sure that'll go down ans the week goes on.
Just got an ESPN alert about this. If they get Butler they don't get George, so.. I guess it's ok? Geez though, that really makes this a 2 team league.
All I got from that is...... "Boston you want Butler, up the ante" - Chicago I do think Cleveland is trying to get these guys, but need 3rd teams to facilitate deals.
It's quite tragic for Mitch. Jim Buss is a life long D+ who had an A to start with. Mitch at least pulled some good stuff out during his stay until David Stern destroyed the Lakers.
Seeing all these Cavs trade rumors...I swear LeBron could have the '92 Dream Team and would still complain about not having enough help. After he loses again next year he will demand the rest of the league outside of Golden State be shut down and all rosters consolidated to one big Cavs mega-roster. Big Daddy Silver will probably comply too because he might can make a quick buck. GOAT my a$$. Anyway, back to PG...all these rumors remind me of the Dwightmare. Seemed like every team in the league was mentioned at some point, with Brooklyn being the biggest name besides us, but he ultimately wound up a Laker. Replace Brooklyn with Cleveland and it almost seems like the same situation - I felt Howard would be dealt to LA the whole time and I feel that way about PG. I just hope this one turns out better in the long run lol
And what exactly do the Cavs have to get Butler? Or is this more "SAUCES" with no real news behind it? The reason George is an option is because Indy has no choice. Why do the Bulls make a trade with a team with no assets? So they can get Love and Tristan Thompson? How bout JR Smiff? Come on, give me a break.
Honestly you can feel the Laker hate rising back up in some of these media folks at the thought of us finally turning the corner back toward being a contender.
Also another interview for Woj from the Chris Mannix Show. https://audioboom.com/posts/6031132-the-chris-mannix-show-adrian-wojnarowski-joins-the-show Big quote: "George's camp is telling other teams George is 100% a rental no matter what team." That's what we want/need to hear.
It's starting to look like all these trade rumors are between PG and Pacers and nothing else. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
And more than that, PG wouldn't wanna be hated by his own people so the chance of him leaving once he commits to the team is slim to none. I'll take none. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
What magic would the Cavs have to work to get Butler in a Cavs uniform? They've got nothing, but maybe Love as an asset... Does Chicago want Love?
