    Is PG a Laker yet?

Going to be one unproductive week...

Right on, @abeer3 The claim is that for anyone else this would be "a rental." But you don't just get to assume that; you have to argue for it. George can love LA, but if he lands in one of these spots - specifically Boston or Cleveland - things could change. In Cleveland, they probably go to the Finals. Would he leave that for an LA team that likely won't make the playoffs this season? In Boston, make it or not, they have cap space and tons of young talent - and more to come in the next three seasons. Boston looks like a great foundation. Will they be more like Dallas (sustained regular season success, no good chance at a ring) or San Antonio in the long run?

Move Randle to 1st group till trade deadline so we can evaluate his progress with shooting, defense, right hand, focus and unquestionably the best conditioning of his life ..... and I won't hold you back for taking over the semester in armchair GM 101. ;) Too much additional potential still to be tapped. We have to see him in action as a Laker under this new FO environment at least this next half season. New and improved beast likely.

Additionally my sources are saying PG wants him here.

With Lonzo on board, I wouldn't mind giving up Russell if they're willing to take Deng. I prefer George-Ingram over Russell-George in the starting lineup.

What about this offer Detroit, jc, dlo and luol for the 12th pick and Drummond.

    Then offer Indiana

The 12th, 28th and mozgov for PG

    Draft Lonzo

    Lonzo
    PG
    Ingram
    Randle
    Drummond

    Bench
    Ennis
    Nwaba
    Brewer
    Nance
    Zubac

Disclaimer: Ramona Shelburne is already on this and it has nothing to do with Paul George. They just want another high pick from this crop of youngsters. Ramona said they're still very unlikely to trade out of the #2 spot, they just want another lottery pick somehow. She also said the Lakers are still staunchly against trading anything for Paul George.

Which makes sense since we worked out Dennis Smith Jr. and Zach Collins. Ramona said we're looking for more perimeter defense and shooting out of the draft.

Normally, I would agree with you, but by all reports, the Lakers aren't giving that much up for George.

I don't think Boston moves on PG because they can get Hayward to come to the team without giving up anything AND they have a backup plan already in Jimmy Butler who has a two year deal left and hasn't made any proclamations about only wanting to be in a certain city. Also Ainge is stingy and I would think getting an all-star for "free" is higher on his wish list than giving up his treasure chest of picks.

    isn't that what i said?

anyway, the cleveland stuff has me a bit nervous. latest word is that they'll move love to philly for picks/prospects and shift those to indy. makes sense for cleveland to gamble on a rental. a lot of sense.

i might consider ponying up some value if cleveland looks like they're going to get it done (some sources have suggested the lakers will change their minds, too).

i like the idea of simply waiting it out, but then i worry that the clippers get involved. had jerry west not gone there, i'd have been less concerned, but i really can see george going there next summer in some scenarios (lakers continue to be terrible, clippers clear some space, lakers have trouble clearing space without giving up value).

You did say that; the wording confused me because I'm half r*******. LOL.

I guess we'll have to take a wait and see approach. Teams aren't going to give up 2-firsts and a Starter which is the price Indiana is currently demanding. That price willl come down throughout this week, and I'm curious to see how much; Pacers are in a terrible situation.

PG's agent needs to make it clear to Cleveland that he has had it with cold weather towns period and wants to be the Man in L.A. not another one of the "King's" help acquisitions.

This is what needs to happen in order for George to be a Laker ASAP with the most talent attained on our end. Kobe needs to talk to George and tell him this
