Untouchable: - #2 - Dangelo - Ingram - Zu Willing to trade: - #28 - Randle - Clarkson - Nance - Black Pipe: - Deng - Moz
I do feel very confident, certain that with all this news that PG-13 has to be traded before the season starts. Hence the reports that IND wants to trade PG13 as soon as possible. Every day/week that goes by they lose more and more of the little leverage they already have. Also with all the unwanted media attention the Pacers and PG13 doesn't want if he goes into training camp on the Pacers and having to deal with this every day and every new team they play this year. IND will be sure to trade him before the start of the year. Now are we that team...... Time will tell
I would give them #2 but they have to take deng and Clarkson and brewer. This would free up enough cap for a max guy. I know we don't like the guy but cp3 would come here if we secured pg...this is at least a 4-5 seed imo Cp3/ennis/some Dlo/ingram Pg/Ingram Randle/nance/trob Zu/moz/black Next yr if his royal highness is interested we stretch waive moz n get cap for james
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ng-acquire-another-first-round-pick-nba-draft So the Lakers are trying to get the 5th and 10th? Would they use the 10th and 28th and a starter for George? And draft Fox at 5?
We shouldn't be stupid ... don't give up anything at all ... if PG really wants to come here , he'll sign with us next summer ... if not he's using us to decrease his trade value and to be traded to a great team
Or we told his Butt through Kobe do this right meow! Nothing good. Clarkson and fillers, or if they want 28 and second rounders(Clark included) they're taking Deng as well.
I definitely think George's camp has a gameplan here and it wasn't just to give the Pacers a friendly heads up. He wants to be a Laker and I think they are going to find a way to make that happen.
The announcement was necessary to scare off would-be trade partners for Indy. Now the only option for them is to find someone willing to take a huge and stupid risk or see what package they can get from us. With us knowing we have the leverage. So I only see some role players going out. Brewer's the only guy @ PG's real position we would trade. Sending out our Power Forwards Randle/Nance is not the message we want to send PG. But to make the money work they would need to stick one of our nasty contracts in there so Indy may have to just let PG run out his contract and leave.
I absolutely do NOT want to give up anything of significance, but I would be infuriated if he ended with the LeCavs.
I would give up anything but Russell Ingram Randle Zubac 2nd pick Any combination of #28, Clarkson etc. is fine for me. With that said, if we trade for him we would also get his bird rights which means we would have to give him a five year max at a higher price. This to me is a big reason to just stick it out and sign him outright next off-season.
I can't stand the Brothers K. They're arrogant a****. Here's why trading Randle NOW makes sense - some other team gets to see him in their system, where he might thrive. If he thrives (if you can disguise his defense or if he develops a jumper), then you pay him. If not, you let him test the market or S&T. It's a cost-controlled league average PF. That's not bad. That's why teams would want him even if they don't sign him longterm.
Come on magic and Rob play your cards right. Don't believe the hype, the more you wait the more desperate they become
specifically, i think boston was nosing around and george wanted to make sure that didn't happen (getting out of boston would be a pr nightmare of the highest order). george's folks now need to make it clear to all other trade suitors that he's a rental there and would prefer not to go. this should scare off anyone reasonable. i'm sure indy is pissed about this, but they've had their chances. the beginning of the end was breaking up a pretty good team and attempting to move their star player to a position he didn't want to play. the writing was on the wall last trade deadline (i think george's folks had probably already communicated his wishes to them at that time), and they could have gotten something bigger from the lakers then (like ingram or russell). they made their bed.
