Right when the offseason started I said I was willing to wait for PG to come in 2018 despite all the unknowns one whole season brings. The one caveat was PG coming out and saying "trade me to LA". He's all but said it, "I'm leaving in 2018 and my preference is the Lakers". I'm sure if we start hearing more traction for any other team he'll come out and say its Lakers or bust. That might not turn away some suitors but it will help. The door is open, we just have to decide if we're jumping through it and with what assets.

Some package pulled from Clarkson, 28, Nance, Black. Is that not more value than anyone else is going to offer with PG stepping up and forcing the issue, saying L.A. is where I am going to be?

They want 2 first rounders and a starter, sounds easy to me

28th, a future first round and luol/mozgov they won't get anything better from a team with leverage

Risk for who, us? I mean I get why we want him, he keeps the seats filled up, is an all-star name, makes us at least competitive like a Utah, Memphis, Portland, etc, But we're not going to be winning championships with or without him.

And it's not just Clarkson, people are also nonchalantly throwing Randle's name out there too. The next few years are gonna be pretty much like the 90s again with Jordan's Chicago Bulls. I tend to agree with the strategy of waiting it out and stockpiling assets, wait for GS to get old and strike.

I doubt anyone considers Deng a starter anymore, but maybe I'm just jaded

I still think lakers should just wait for pg to be a free agent and sign him then but if they were to offer anything i'd do deng/moz 28th and JC

Pacers are ridiculous asking for that and id be surprised if another team does anything close to it

He tore his boob working so hard just to shut people like you up Kareem. Got to love his indignation after the performance he gave this year while being last or next to last in trips to the weight working out and the after hours dedication in fixing his sorry a** shooting.

I wouldn't trade Randell for him period. We hold the power in this.

But it's a huge gamble for us to wait now. Before PG made this declaration, Indy's FO would probably think they could get him to sign if they made an effort to get him some help, but they were hamstrung for cap space and probably wouldn't succeed. In that scenario, I was fine with waiting, because PG would most likely walk at the end of net season.

Now things are different. Indy will be in desperation mode, and might do something stupid and take Love or some other aging star, to get something for the present, because this just upset their whole future plans.

Well Dung is a locker room presence, which Luke interpreted literally and left Luold in the locker room half the season.

For my own sanity, I hope this happens fast for better or worse. The constant refresh of twitter and here will kill me.

I think his agent would rather keep co-clients Randle and DAR in LA.

It sounds like he's begging for something before he starts his conversations with magic lol, I can imagine magic and George somewhere chilling in front of a computer laughing together reading the Twitter feeds
