Well, he did tattoo "Chosen1" on his back in huge letters, giving himself the title to live up to even more, and maybe literally putting a target on his back in a way to have to succeed. But to be fair, that could have gone really badly if his career flamed out, but it didn't, he lived up to some pretty crazy expectations. Plenty of players want to be all time great, set that goal and don't get there, but he's done it and I do give him credit for that.

If he keeps making The Finals, James could still fulfill his prophecy... "Not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven..." In losses.

You have to scroll down 5 articles before you'd know the Warriors won the championship YESTERDAY.

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...bron-james-legacy-intact-much-michael-jordans

That was the first article for me.

    Slurp slurp.

"Yes, LeBron James is 3-5 in the Finals. But his legacy has never been more intact."

Meanwhile Kobe is retired and he's still trying to prove that he deserves to be mentioned in people's top 10. LeBron is amazing his stats are crazy, but trying to erase any blemish on his career is so annoying, and making it seem less like praise and more like obsession because of something else.

This article is a f***ing disgrace. Jordan arguably had a leg up on basketball competition the year he came back from playing baseball to play basketball because...his legs were fresh.

Just as I suspected the media is all over apologizing for Lebron. I really just heard a pundit say that 3-5 isn't bad because Lebron has proven you don't have to win to be great. Did Lebron change the history of needing to win to be considered the greatest of all time? They are already saying he didn't have enough. They are already saying Cavs need to trade players (even Kyrie?) away to get Lebron help. The Warriors did not go 16-0 because Lebron wouldn't let them (um who is Kyrie for $500 Alex). Hell even after the Cav's lost a few fans on here came in defending the King immediately. That is the true greatness of Lebron win or lose he will be celebrated.

The man averaged a trip-dub in the Finals. He did not come up short in that aspect. However, he did come up short in several 4th quarters. He did have at least 1 teammate who came up just as big in Kyrie. In the end, Lebron balled for the most part, failed at some stuff but had no reason to hang his head performance wise on the offensive end. I would love to see how many KD dropped on him and his vaunted defense though.

In the key moments of the 4th, KD was head and shoulders above LLLLLeBron.

Triple doubles don't mean squat if you disappear in the clutch (both ends of court.)

You should have just stopped at "Brian Windhorst". That guy owes his career to LeBron, he follows him around like his lap dog. He's literally ESPN's LeBron James reporter, impossible for him to be unbiased.

Same thing I saw all over ESPN and other media today. "LeBron did all he could, he didn't have enough help". Already suggesting they trade Love and even Irving (though some laughed at the Irving idea and pointed out he's 25 and ridiculously good), saying they need to go get George, Butler or Melo (LOL Melo). I guess I did expect this from the media since from the day Durant signed with the Warriors everyone was saying the title was theirs, but you still don't HAVE to prop up LeBron, you can ignore him and talk about, oh I don't know, the champions?

    They missed Deli

The Australian former Warrior's center that broke his leg or foot in game 1 would have been nice to have that series.

But several guys that played well last year were almost no shows this year., Tristan Thompson, JR Smith, Shumpert, Channing Frye..,,

Heck, they also added Korver as a sharp shooter, Deron Williams as another playmaker, etc.

I think the coaching by Lue was suspect at times and their scheme was one on one offense. I also didn't see Lebron making the fellas better.

If everyone on the Cavs played to last year's level, they weren't far off really. But every championship roster loses talent.

Now it's time for the Warriors to make more tough choices, and they will probably both do it again next year.
