West had Baylor...AND LaRusso. Russell was the best defensive center during their time and had something like four Hall of Famers on his squad. Just overmatched. If only Selvy made that shot. Speaking of which that big ESPN feature is tomorrow and Wednesday on the rivalry. Chamberlain? His feats were Herculean numbers wise but I just don't understand why he should not have won more. His ring with Philadelphia was his favorite. Then he went on to lose in 1969, 1970 and 1973. The Stilt did get it again 1972 but the Knicks did not have Reed.
Other than that first ridiculous statement (was that Pincus that asked him that?), I thought his response to the Durant question was spot on. I like to hate on LeBron the player on the court and the media that gives him so many excuses, but I have very little issues with LeBron the man.
Not a fan of Pincus really any longer. Wish the best for him and all, but I thought that question and delivery summed up the quality of his reporting. Is that harsh?
If LeBron wants a DeMarcus Gilbert will buy him one. Someone have a problem with that? 80 million a year in luxury taxes. Bring it on. Keep the guy away from the Clippers or the Lakers.
I have a feeling BSPN will make KD their new poster boy after the Warriors win more rings. Who's going to stop them from winning in the next 3-4 years? Next thing you know, KD and Curry are the greatest duo in NBA history and they're the greatest team of all time!
Durant is infinitely more likeable than LeBron so I have less of a problem with that. Been of fan of his since watching him in college, couldn't believe he went 2nd in the draft and Portland was doing that again. Curry is likeable too, his game is pretty I guess you could say. In the end I don't think Durant wins enough rings to be talked about like that though, and Curry isn't quite the 2-way player you need to be to top THE greatest of all time lists.
