Before the finals (which are still not done yet I mean last year ugh) my gut told me Warriors would win the series. Not because of the fact that they're stacked, but because I don't think one team can beat the other in the finals two years in a row. Had Cleveland won in 2015 I'd bet that the Warriors would have won last year. It's the taste of defeat that drives you harder than the taste of victory kind of thing if that makes sense.
Again, granted the series is still not over yet, the jerk in me would love to see something happen which I'm sure won't but.... Curry crying if the Warriors clinch in Cleveland yelling "Cleveeeeland! This is for you!"
Who gives a flying f*** what you average, you dips***. You are 0 - 2 and should f***ing hope Kyle Freaking Korver comes to rescue your sorry a** from another Finals beat-down.
Now someone go and ask LeBron to tell ESPN and these other guys in sports media who fans out for the kang, that he said from his own mouth, that he's not "tired" so they can stop using that as an excuse now.
He cares what he averages. He cares about his shooting percentages, that's why you see him not hoist a shot from deep to end halftime, or not keep shooting to try to get out of the slump when he's not shooting well like some other past greats we have seen. MJ, Kobe, no conscience. LeBron, gotta keep those stats pretty.
I wonder if Lebron would consider pulling the ultimate "take my ball and run" move and retire realizing that he has no chance for the next few years. This would totally take ALL the attention away from the Warriors and put it back on him.
I'm not trying to hate, I'm trying to be real, LeBron is great, all time great. His numbers are crazy, his legacy is better than most, but mentally, this guy is not a killer. He's not MJ, he's not Kobe, the comparisons for me need to stop. SportsCenter just pointed out he's taken 11 total shots in the 4th quarters of the 3 games of this series. It's fantastic to be great quarters 1 and 2 and even a little less so in quarter 3, but you gotta finish. Durant had 14 points in the 4th quarter alone tonight. He's not MJ, he's not Kobe, just stop. Put Kobe on this Cavs roster and that Heat roster in this East with the game played at this pace and he'd be in every Finals putting up crazy numbers too. Of course if the Cavs come back from down 3-0 to win the series and LeBron carries the team and is clutch in 4th quarters that narrative instantly changes and I reserve the right to take back some of what I said. I'm a hater, but I'm not a blind hater.
Hopefully for the rest of his career we can celebrate who Lebron James actually is. He's possibly the most athletically gifted player ever, who is firmly entrenched in the Top 10 but NOT at all at the same levels of MJ, Magic, Kareem and in the same tier or lower than Kobe, Duncan, Shaq etc. Honestly I'm almost tired of hating.
They were showing some all time greats rankings list from I forget which site or newspaper on around the horn and PTI last week and they had MJ 1, LeBron 2, and Kobe at 9. That to me was laughable and insulting. I think it was a pretty reputable site/paper too or they probably don't mention it on tv.
