What team can committ 20 turnovers vs 9 for the other team and still win by 19? Crazy!

It may be unfair but the way I see it, Lebron "cheated" the system when he and the banana friends created the Heat, so he's getting his just desserts as KD one-ups him. After the Warrior reign is over, the young Lakers will hopefully be ready for Prime Time.

Yeah not that either are terrible on D, but that's one side of the ball. MJ, Pip and Kobe were all defense most of their careers, and Kareem, even when he go older was still a solid shot blocker. Shaq was not bad on D either until 02. Now Magic... Point is, bball is played on both ends.

At least half of this game was somewhat entertaining.

I hate what the NBA has become

3 after 3 after 3. That's all the game is about now a days. Just chuck 3s. No more center position, no more big men down low or post play. It's just boring as hell to watch.

In game 1 of this year's finals, there were 62 attempts from 3-point range

In game 1 of the 2002 finals, there 26 attempts from 3 point range

In game 1 of the 2010 finals, there were 20

this little guy, 3 point shooting NBA sucks. I miss the days of the dominant big man

15-1 is finally in jeopardy after all these years. Yes yes, I know, the teams we faced were much tougher but you won't hear that brought up from the majority.

I kind of wanted Mike Brown to coach GS to victory. I have a soft spot for him.

Problem in this is that GSW has to make it out of the West injury free while the Cavs much like every year has a cake walk to the Finals. Yes, if GSW are healthy and make it to the finals I always like there chances against CLE, but the road is so much more tough than it is for CLE.

Kerr just now saying this in his presser regarding how sloppy GSW was at times and I agree with this.

If Cleveland loses, I'm really interested in seeing what moves they make. I can't imagine Lebron not pushing for something major to close the gap somewhat. The NBA is basically an arms race between two teams.

I doubt the Warriors sweep, but honestly don't care about that. I'd love to see LeBron get swept more than I care about that record. You're right that history won't remember the teams we beat, but I do, and they can't take the championship away anyway. We beat down 3 of the best teams of that era, at least one that was an all time great team in the Spurs. I legitimately don't remember who the Warriors played in the first round at this point, and then they played the Jazz (who were only there because the Clippers had key injuries), and the Spurs without Leonard and Parker. This Warriors team is one of the best ever, but they aren't facing the competition we did.

KD and Curry are not the best duo ever, they barely played together.

Seems like the same team that had only 4 TOs in game one. So much firepower and KD in his prime on a mission for his first ring.

Exactly, just like when the Warriors broke the Bulls record, and I still think the 96 Bulls were better than that team last season.

The 15-1 Lakers are light years ahead of this Warriors team, I don't care if they sweep or not.

I had already forgotten the Warriors broke that record, I still equate it with the Bulls.

Side note, that Lakers team was actually 15-1 because the first round then was best of 5. So really you can't compare the 2 situations anyway, that Lakers team didn't have a chance to go 16-1, they played 1 less game. They may have done it, or they may have gone 16-2, we can't say. The situations are completely different.

The 96 season wasn't great either, due to the expansion teams.

I wonder though, in 87, with KAJ being basically David Robinson in in 99, and Magic, while in his prime progressively getting worse on D (let's be real, if Hardaway, Robertson and Stockton were torching him, Curry would eat him alive on that end) is that more even than we're saying? With Worthy, Scott and Klay's dad of course the bench is better.

yep. don't know that the narrative will be in the press tomorrow, but i saw that ^.

gs gave away a lot of possessions and counted on hitting some of those crazy threes at opportune times. those stopped falling as last year's series wore on, and kerr certainly remembers that.
