Haren with 9 turnovers. The entire Spurs team had 7.

    Ouch.

A classic Harden clutch performance ... run the clock down and jack up a terrible shot/turn the ball over ... repeat X10

As for SAS , they have to get rid of LMA as soon as possible

Nate Duncan : " James Harden, live by the flop , die by the flop" on Harden offensive foul against Simmons at the end of the regulation

He tried to flail on the Gino block too, but the refs didn't bite. That block was NICE!

apparently, he was already playing with an ankle injury, then he hurt the other knee (or vice versa). no dire press conference talk with with parker's injury, but you can probably bet on leonard not being leonard for the remainder of this series--you don't just miss the last five minutes/OT of a pivotal playoff game for precautionary purposes.

There are a few players we went after with max contracts that I'm happy we whiffed on (Melo, LMA, Derozan to name a few).

i was going to post similar, then i remembered that we didn't whiff on mozdeng.

still mad we didn't go after harrison barnes.

but yeah, did not foresee the dropoff from aldridge. i thought his game would age well because he didn't rely on athleticism that much. apparently, he did so more than i believed. he looks stuck in the mud out there. between him and pau gasol, it's miraculous that the spurs are a top defensive outfit. that's coaching...and kawhi leonard. really wish the lakers could commit to that end the way SA has. if you can be that good defensively with that back line, anyone can be a decent defensive team. no excuse for what we're treated to...

I always thought Aldridge was a good player but not necessarily the type of talent that will determine the game.

Yep, we dodged a bullet... thanks to many of these players showing us a middle finger. We can add few near max players like Dragic, Carroll, Matthews, Parsons...
    Yikes.

i'd take dragic, carroll, or matthews on their current contracts. definitely over mozdeng, but maybe even over empty cap space. they're starting caliber nba players. we have like, zero of those.

Carroll was almost as much a corpse as Deng was. I'd consider Dragic and Matthews (pre DJ offer).

You can see Harden really wanted to draw the foul, hitting Ginobli in the chest. And then the head snap on a clean block.

The NBA needs to start taking a stance on this "head snapping" or body flailing as the NHL does with diving, and assessing warning/fines after the fact to discourage players from doing this. It's flat out embarrassing and a travesty to the game.

They also need to start changing the rule for giving free throws for follow through fouls, where players try to stick their arm under the defenders arms to draw fouls and throw up shots. I understand it's difficult to assess, but a player should really be "in the act of shooting" where his hands are above his head in the shot process (unless you're Noah and you shoot from your chest).

Seriously, I was hanging out with my little cousins (10-13) as they "pretend" to play basketball, and all they're doing is this head snapping, under arm hook, non sense. What are they teach kids in these club teams anymore? Such a disgrace.

I'm amazed they let that contact be. (Haren's elbow to the chest) Was in San Antonio but still. It was the right call.
