Overhead in China is like $2 per shoe.

In that little warehouse video it looked like he got some equipment for sure, but still it's all on him. Money comes out of his pocket and goes into his pocket. If his son is an interesting player, he's going to sell a lot of merchandise and make a lot of money.

I don't have to like LaVar, but the plan so far is working and I'm happy for the kid at least. This is an interesting play and I hope it shakes things up. I enjoy shake ups.

If you're willing to sell your soul, you can make big money. It's the new American dream... sad as that is.

The simple fact is nobody is going to want these shoes until Lonzo does something in the NBA. He was a very exciting college player, but he wasn't a transcendent college player, nobody wants a college player's shoe because his loudmouth dad says they're cool. People want shoes from the stars of the league, and if Lonzo doesn't become one, shoes won't sell, you can't sell a product by talk alone. I think it's a shame too, because I think Lonzo can potentially be an All-Star, but while his dad is getting him attention, it's also getting way past old.

Kid hasn't even been drafted yet and has made 150K in merchandise? Sounds impressive to me.

Hate Lavar all you guys want, but so far it's working. That 150K has likely made up most if not all of the costs and we've only just gotten started. The guy is a jacka** but he just might make this happen.

And this. X 10 when he gets to the NBA, from players faster, stronger, tougher and much better than he will be as a rookie. Was already going to be the big adjustment every kid 2 years out of high school has to go through.

"And I’m certain De’Aaron Fox isn’t going to be the last guard to put a little extra effort into washing Lonzo on the court just because of his dad’s bombast."

But again, if in spite of the massive target on his back and suffocating media attention with its types looking for any weaknesses or dirt on him, he's still able to have a really good or great rookie season ..... he is the real deal.
