Could be the opposite too. George wants out and Bird is sick of the politics.

Could be a new face and new direction.

Now George will want to leave even more, looks like Indiana is rebuilding even with their front office. He wants to win, that's why it's imperative that we first look to trade for other stars besides George. That way we'll have a team that has a star(s) and it's build for contending. Then sign him up as a Free Agent.

My untouchables: Ingram, Zubac, and D Russell.

Everyone else trade for stars by using our picks and jr and jc

I don't think George has a problem with Larry, I think PG just wants to return home

If this is the Pacers FO doing a rebuild, it's even more reason to trade for him now because a trade is coming sooner rather than later. Get it done, just don't give everything away.

This is what I'm thinking too. It's a weird time to be shuffling. If I had to guess, George says he wants out and Bird is tired of the games. Bird steps down, now these guys will take a little time to try to convince George to stay, but we should already be on the phone over there.

We should also have our players reaching out to Paul right now. Kobe even. It's not tampering if it's (ex)players talking to each other, right LeBron, Wade, and Bosh?

Paul George will be a Los Angeles Laker soon. Book it.

Lakers need 2 things for George to be a Laker this summer. Keep the top 3 pick and George not make an All-NBA team. If those 2 things happen, lakers have all the leverage to get him.

If Paul comes out and says "trade me to LA...", that trumps everything.

It's great, but I agree that those two other pieces are pretty important.

Absolutely. Hard to say which side of the fence Prichard will fall on. Do you keep trying with Paul George? Or do you cut bait and just start fresh?

    We'll see very, very soon.

Did he use to be the gm for the blazers during the Pippen era?

And just like one of his biggest idols, Kobe ..... hit em with "no Deng, no deal". :Jacksnicker:

No Ingram, Zubac or Russell either. Do it Rob!!

If the situations is looking that dire in Indiana, Randle+Clarkson+Hou 1st is beginning to look like a lot now.

Deng +Top 2(or Clarkson)+ Hou 1st might even get it done at this point.

He was assistant GM during the era that got Aldridge there.

He was the full GM when they drafted Oden and got Batum.

He was fired in 2010 and picked up by Indiana a year or two later.

If Paul George demands a trade to LA then everything changes. I give them Hou 1st/future protected 1st/black/Deng and that's it.

That's a good haul compared to nothing at all.
