This is what re-written history will give us about Lebron. People will look at the hardware and stats and say "Oh my the greatest ever" but won't look at the actual truth behind it all. Larry Bird had amazing teams but Larry stepped up in the biggest spotlights, carried his team when it mattered and battled stiff competition both in his conference and in the WCF. Someone like Patrick Ewing who carried his team had the honor of getting beat up by MJ. Someone like Reggie Miller who, prior to steph which is still up in the air, was the greatest pure shooter of our time never won because of competition. Lebron James, while great athlete and player, has consistently not showed up in the playoffs especially the 4th quarter. He has wilted on every occasion until Ray Allen saved their butts with a corner 3. Game 7 of that series was the first time in his playoff history that Lebron James actually took over and won in my opinion. That isn't greatest of all time for me and that isn't being a hater either. The career winning % of his competition in the East alone is tragically laughable. Not hating the guy for playing who was put in front of him but check the Spurs and Lakers opponents win % on their way to the finals and it would say much more about those guys. In the end, Lebron James is a other world talent of speed, strength, vision and skill. No one can deny that not even Weezy over there. That doesn't make him the GOAT. He will finish with a lot of hardware but put under a microscope when it is all said and done I am sure the tune will change on just how great he was overall. At least in my opinion that will be the case.
I don't watch as much as I use to since we moved out of Cali. I can only comment on stuff as I see it from watching. haven't seen enough to spend a lot of time in LD (well except doomsday cause well thats gold). Hopefully, i'll get back into it and have some great discussions with you guys (and gals) soon.
They were the fake balls you can put on your trailer hitch. Didn't think that qualified for censor, but I'll be more careful.
Once again the Eastern Conference is full of frauds, it's the Cavs and everyone else. Boston, frauds. Toronto, frauds. Washington, TBD. I don't think any star in history has had such an easy playoff road as LeBron. Making the Finals 6/7 times in a row is still impressive for the fatigue factor that should set in alone, but still, the road has been a cakewalk. And again, I think the Cavs knew what they were doing sitting LeBron the last couple games, they avoid Chicago, they screw Boston with a bad matchup.
I dislike it when he plays well. Came down from 26 points behind to go up 3-0 on Indiana, posts a 40 pt triple double, and passes Kobe in all time playoff points. Where's Tanya Harding?!?!?!
He's passing everyone so fast and he's only 32 I hate it all. The terrible Eastern conference has been a gift for the King. LeBron has no NBA equal right now. No one can match him physically. If he passes MJ in all time NBA points and matches his NBA titles he might sit along side MJ on the throne. MJ has 6 MVP's and 10 scoring titles, 6 championship s. I know he won't get the 10 scoring titles, but championship s & MVP's are still in reach. Why Universe! Why!
He's ahead of Kobe already? f***. I don't hate on the guy as much as some people here but this makes me sad. I hoped he would need few more seasons.
I knew it was coming eventually, but this is too flabbin quick. Also quite odd considering he's not a scorer type player either. To be honest the media made me dislike LeBron, their desperation to find someone to dethrone Kobe was annoying. Their crowning of LeBron before he won anything was evident of that. But the possibility of LeBron being the heirness is quite unsettling
On top of scoring. He's 7th in rebounds, 3rd in assists, 3rd in steals and he's 20 blocks away from moving into 20th in that category. God damn...
If GS continues to play scared and Kyrie continues to be Kobesque he will get another ring or 2. I think his MVP days are over largely because his teams usually hold back in the reg season after getting a ring. I still think he has no chance at taking MJ's Universal GOAT crown especially if Kyrie can steal a FMVP. That would be held against him like Shaq is held against Kobe. Its almost fortunate for him that the Heat lost in 11 because Wade would have certainly been the Finals MVP.
Not to mention that the teams who could at least take Lebron to 7 games always loses a key player to injury during the playoffs.
