per minute numbers mean more when the guy has shown he can put up the numbers given the minutes. otherwise, you've got carl landry problems.

of course, russell has. but that won't stop the hatahs.

That and 1 dunk was nasty, he hesitated for a second and then exploded into the paint for that slam. I can't wait to see how good this kid is in a few years.

Screw trading for Paul George, as in - let's wait till 2018 and get him as a FA, without giving up any of the young guys.

This kid can seemingly get to the rim at will.

His attitude is double plus good.

    From Rotoworld:

He finished 6-of-14 from the field, but didn't touch the floor in the 4th quarter because he was on a minutes limit. Ingram has had an up-and-down rookie season, but he said that he plans on "dominating" the summer league. "I want to show a big jump in how my game progressed over the year," Ingram said. "It’s another big jump this offseason. I’ll try to go in and show a little bit of what’s going to happen next season." Ingram does have a bright future in fantasy, but he'll need to show some improvement from the line to raise his ceiling -- he's shooting just 62.3 percent from the line.

the stats don't really capture it (they sort of do), but he's a totally different player from earlier in the season. so much more aggressive going to the basket. he was getting everything swatted at the beginning; now he's hammering left and right. all this without his shot coming around, too.

Starting to lean toward this way.

Let these kids continue to grow, develop, and learn together.

Also I'd love to see Paul play with some of these guys mainly Ingram. Those two could be a nightmare to deal with on both sides of the ball.

George is exactly the kind of player that I believe Brandon can eventually develop into. That two way star.

I think Ingram started with a pretty up and down season, but for the most part his second half of the year he has been fairly consistent and has shown some real potential on what is to come.

Check out Ingram's FG%. He's nearly up to 41 which certaintly isn't great, but for most of the season he was hovering around 35-36. Just shows the tremendous improvement.

Like I said. Kid is a future star in this league. Is he Kevin Durant? No, but he's gonna be a tremendous player in this league.

Also Kawhi and Brandon's numbers as rookies are pretty similar.

    Ingram - 9.3 points, 2.0 assists, 0.5 blocks, 4.0 rebounds, 40.7 FG%, 29.3 3PT FG%.

    Kawhi - 7.9 points, 1.1 assists, 0.4 blocks, 5.1 rebounds, 49.3 FG%, 37.6 3PT FG%.

Obviously big difference is the shooting, but Kawhi also stepped into a much better situation. Playing with the likes of Duncan, Manu, and Parker who were all still All Star type players. Playing for an all time great coach in Pop. Not taking anything away from Kawhi, but certaintly helped his development.

No I'm not saying Ingram is Kawhi just saying that the numbers are similar. We'll see how Ingram develops from here on out and hopefully can put better pieces around him.

Ingram's post-ASB numbers: 32.6 minutes, 13.4 points, 2.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 50.5% FGs, 27% threes, 54% FTs. Shame about the 3pt and FT shooting. Clearly there's a mental component, but with a mechanics tweak and another year of offseason work, he should be ready to kick some butt next year.

BTW, in April, he's averaging 13.3 points in 20.4 minutes. That's good.

He's not just improving statistically, he's doing the things necessary to help us win. He's spearheading this recent upsurge with his energy and his aggressiveness. He's not just dunking the ball and going hard to the rim, he's hustling for rebounds, loose balls, defensive rotations. The kid is showing the world something different. Early in the season it looked like he wasn't only learning the league, but where his spot is in the roster. Now he's just playing basketball. In the last four games (admittedly a very small sample size with his minutes restricted), he's posting an ORtg of 119 and a DRtg of 109. In those four games he's averaging as many points in 20 minutes as he averaged the previous 11 games in 35 minutes.

People looking from afar will look at his numbers statistically and crush him for this season, but anyone watching him closely this season will see the absolute star potential he's shown the last couple months. In 3 years people will look back and laugh at having Malcolm Brogdon ranked ahead of him. In 3 years Pelton and Ford will look like morons having two players who haven't played in the NBA (and might never) ranked ahead of him. Then again, they'll probably just go change what they said.

Brandon's development is 99.9% of the reason I still watch these games.

You guys really buying into that rumor.....if this team isnt at least a 35win team or better next season, why exactly would a star in his prime looking to compete for championship come here?

For what it's worth, I'm buying into this rumor precisely because it answers the question you're asking. If you grew up there, appreciate the mystique, and are that franchise's face, you do it.
