Tatum also declares for the draft officially.

He really grew on me as the season progressed. Right now he's my #3 even though the Lakers are seemingly good at the forward spot. He's a natural scorer and as the season went on was a better defender. He found ways to impact the game other than scoring the ball which was a big fear for me. I have him over Josh Jackson because of perceived off-the-court issues with Jackson.

Just meaning DAR's shot from a slightly shorter frame doesn't come off from much higher than his forehead either. He's been in the league two years to adjust now. Give Ball at least a year to adjust or sooner and his shot can become quicker while still being accurate too. They both can create space with the juking moves and step or jump backs. Ball is supposed to be a little more athletic. Ball's not shoot first anyway but leave him alone or he creates a gap, like Russell, look out.

Ball loads up way lower than Russell though. Like 6-12 inches lower. That's a huge difference.

Trade Randle, have Tatum and Ingram play the 3/4. Start Zubac at center long term. I really like Randle but if we could trade Randle and JC for a better guard to match with DLo.

Tatum has moved up on me..still think if the Lakers land 3rd..passing on Jackon's upside and athleticism is going to be tough for Magic to pass on.

Just thinking outside the box here. Let's say the PG-13 deal is a no-go and we keep the pick, but it's at #3. Would you guys draft Jackson to play next to Ingram at the forward spots and then possibly trade Randle to the C Bags for Smart? I'm not sure the C Bags do it, but they need help in the bigs department and Smart could be a great fit next to Russell.

I would think not too hard of a thing to raise that up 6 inches or maybe higher over time while not having him mess with the weird angle. Plus he's more athletic right? Allegedly. Should be able to create space as well as Russell not too long development wise from now with his good handles.

Keep getting younger... I'm not positive Tatum will be better than Randle and I'm not sure I want to dial the clock backwards to find out. I'll take Tatum and figure out the rotation later, but I'm not eager to jettison a kid we know for a kid we don't know.

Trading Randle would mean losing physicality in the paint. All we'd have left with is finesse. As much as I like Russell and Ingram, I don't like that balance.

agreed. i actually prefer Jackson at #3, but either way, I don't automatically move Randle after taking anyone at that position. It's another 19-20 year old that will need development, so I only trade Randle if it's for an all-star caliber player.

I don't know. Russell might be more crafty than Ball is athletic.

Milsap is god old and is coming off an injury.

Ibaka is maybe 60% of the player he used to be, but would still be overpaid.

    No thanks.

Barring some development where either or both move we already have Moz and Black coming off the bench next year.
