Now imagine you have Ball as the other guard instead of JC.

Let's get Draymond's opinion first. It was nice to see Kyrie give D'Angelo props after the game. game recognize game.

If Russell takes it upon himself to score like tonight then he and Ball should complement each other well.

Russell belongs as a starter, I liked our starting 5 today! Everyone scored in double figures I think

Just catching up now back on LB after watching the game on time shift. Yeah no s***. Occam's razor moment. What took so f****** long after Lou was dealt and we weren't sniffing the playoffs to try this? Russell and Clarkson are bros together every summer working out and dreaming of playing together in the Lakers starting lineup. All the young guys started it was great. DAR goes legend, JC plays well, Ingram knocking em down now and playing solid. I am digging both Russ's and Jordan's improving handles with the ball .... DAR especially. Fun game to watch. At least 3 out loud Oh Oh Ohs during some spectacular plays tonight. And the tank just keeps rolling.

A well-timed redemption game for D'Lo. Obviously, a lot to love in what we saw tonight.

Not sure I'm buying in to the "Russell at the 2" hype, though. He seemed to pretty much be setting up the offense the same amount as he has all season, with a little off-the-ball offense mixed in for him as well.

I think us fans focus on the PG vs. SG too much at times. Probably matters a lot more on defense as it relates to matchups. Like I said, Russell's role in the offense seems consistent with what we've seen.

Good game DLo and good tank team

Positive DLo improving his trade value or Lakers realize he is a SG!

I think we'd be fools to trade this guy. He definitely is a starting guard in this league.

I don't see why DLo can't be a consistent 20 ppg scorer ... you just need to take away PG duties from him.

I'm still on the wait after 3 years and make him the pg wagon but it's almost over now...

as much as i want him to be a PG, he might simply be better off as a 2. which is a shame though because he's got the ability to be a 20 and 10 type player

either way, trading him would be a huge mistake. i've stood by my word all along that he will eventually become a star

Agreed ... It's just better to have two creators together on the floor to take some ballhandling duties off each other at times and as team , you are a bigger offensive threat if two guys can initiate your offense

The key is/will be to play a solid defensive player next to DAR in the backcourt , JC is clearly not that guy ...

Jrue Holiday ( minus his injuries history) is close to be the perfect fit ...

I think with this game Russell proves that he doesn't compete every night. He cannot be this good and look as bad as he does on some nights.

If he does compete, he looks like he did against the Cavs. If he doesn't, he looks like he did a couple of days ago against the Rockets. I do understand you can't score 40 every night...but there is a different vibe to his game when he competes and when he goes through the motions.

D'Angelo is immensely talented and can really be an asset if he plays like he did tonight.
