I watched most of the Pistons vs Cavaliers game. Detroit really shut down, Cleveland. The Cavs couldn't get a lot at the paint and pressure D caused turnovers. I really don't like the cavs two other pg's from what i've seen and don't buy that Bron and Kyrie are the only playmakers that are needed.

The Cav's really lost composure and just started bombing and bricking 3's. Jodie Meeks is back for the Pistons and made some smooth shots. It really seemed like the Cavs quit quickly, but I don't want to make a really bad game some sort of a big indication of the Cavs being flawed.

Detroit has won two in a row now, and Josh Smith leaving may have caused the players to unite. They may have thought that extensive chemotherapy was needed to get rid of Josh Smith, but it just needed a waive. Josh leaving and the team winning is what I call the bad player leaves phenomena, and is a relative of the bad coach leaves phenomena, which we saw enacted when Mike Brown left the Lakers (who honestly thought it was the Bernie Bickerstaff mojo. I like SVG, and I think he would have been a better option for us over the last few coach options. At least he would be fun to watch and hear on the sideline.

actually, howard seems to have accepted that role there (at least moreso). had he done so in la, he might still be here.

anyway, doubt he's walking around with a stat sheet in the locker room, despite the fact that he's had the same amount of FGAs for the past three years.

Mavs vs C Bags. Mavs up by 25.

At Boston right now, Mavs by 25 Rondo has drained 4/6 3's!

When Rondo is sinking 3's it's personal. Nothing like seeing Boston's chickens coming home to roost and smacking them onto that parquet floor.

Rondo hitting 4/6's, you know you aren't winning that game.

rick Carlisle is supposedly a bit of a shot doctor, and he's been working with rondo. I think shooting with dirk seems to help guys, too. but really, I think rondo just wanted to have a good showing and not drop an emotional game to a crap basketball team.

Seriously bone on bone, not just a temporarily tweaked knee? Where are you getting that from? I thought it had been reported all year he was athletically beasting again.

pretty sure the "bone on bone" comment by Dwight was just him not understanding his own injury and/or attempting to garner public sympathy. athletically, despite reports, he looks very similar to la howard, imo. statistically, he's basically identical.

the josh smith move was silly to me because they promised him a starting position (presumably so he wouldn't go to dallas, where they were offering the appropriate bench spot).

and yes, the knicks are tanking right. they may finally get a high draft pick that could help pull them out of the doldrums.

Thank You Josh Smith for choosing Houston. Make that draft pick better and better for us.

Apparently Dwight can opt out after this year. At the rate they're playing, it might be another first round exit and he may have to bounce again
