    That is true.

James Harden is a great player and anybody saying he isn't is lying or not objective. Yes he flops and he has mastered the art of getting calls but so have many others like Chris Paul, Isiah Thomas, DeRozan etc. Our own Lou Williams can draw fouls like no one else.

To say refs took a good player and made him an MVP candidate is insane. The guy is averaging 29/8/11...please. He has a PER of almost 28. Are the refs grabbing rebounds for him or throwing lobs for his teammates?

Every star in the NBA gets calls and plenty of them. Even is Harden would never make a FT, he would still average 20/8/11 which is insane.

i've seen all the arguments. i'm unmoved. nobody gets calls like harden. nobody. the confidence that comes from getting those calls opens other doors, too. the assumption that he'd score at the same rate is faulty. his fg% would be lower, and his coaching staff would explore offensive options other than the high screen and roll for harden every trip down the floor.

his assist numbers are offset by record-setting amounts of turnovers, and he plays zero defense.

he's simply not a great player. anyone who says he is is clearly lying or not objective. *rolls eyes*

Looked fantastic tonight. Got the offense rolling, and the defense was excellent in the second half.

It's the mental aspect. He has the skill but if it's not going he let's it ruin his game that night. He would have a lot of great shooting nights with a guy like Ball playing PG

I'm all for DLo having good games. It jus increases his trade value.

This was the best I've seen him play in weeks. He helped control the pace of the game, he was knocking down open jumpers off of screens, and he contributed across the board. Most importantly though he put up 28 points on 50% shooting in a win. Wonderful.

edit- AND he took the shot at the end of the game! Seeing as how he's the one best able to create a look, he should usually be the guy taking the shot at the end of the game. Second place goes to probably Randle but just by default. He'll be supplanted by Ingram in the very near future. You could argue Clarkson is better, but he's getting on my nerves lately.

I have to admit...he is right now aggressive offensively and giving us consistent outputs.

Giving credit where credit is due. Happy with his performances lately. I wished he would have some more assists but at least he is a staple scoring the ball right now. He cannot have those 2-8 shooting games. We need him to be aggressive.

I don't think he's a guy we want to trade, but hopefully down the stretch everyone increases their trade value. (Just in case there is a blockbuster Magic can't pass up)

DAR putting his Lakers 3s made by age of 20 record out of reach for a looong time.

And am I the only one that likes his hair now? I think it works well with his mug. Sure as hell better than many you see now as OX said in game time, though he might have been including DAR. Shirley it's better than this:

has luke weighed in on why russell's playing more and seems to have more of a green light (and why this wasn't the case from day one this year?)?

Russell said after the game he's tried to pick himself up to another level after the All-Star break and Luke has said that at times Russell is trying to do what the coaches are teaching him instead of just playing the game. They're trying to teach him proper reads which takes time for any player in any sport. That's what Luke was saying anyway.

Yikes. Sometimes we forget how young these guys are. "I just play the game." No, really; you need to learn some more stuff. His numbers look great, and he looked really good on the court last night. I swear they gave an assist to Nance that was Russ's.

    Since the ASB:
    33 MPG
    21.9 PPG
    5.1 APG
    3.1 RPG
    47% FGs
    39% Threes
    79% FTs

Russ is crushing the team three-point record for age. He's +35 on Kobe at the same age, and he still has a lot of chances to add to that.

Last night when the Suns mounted that rally...Russell took it upon himself to close it out with that game sealing trey. Good stuff.
