He was shooting left and right but couldn't hit a shot if his life depended on it.

I'm done man, I'm done sticking up for this kid, he's no longer my favorite Laker. He may still be good, or great even, maybe elsewhere, and I wish him luck if so, but I can't take his attitude. This isn't high school, he's not big man on campus, he hasn't earned a damn thing, he's not too cool for school. Last season I excused his lack of passion most of the time as just his style of play, like he was calm and collected and patient, picking his spots and waiting til the 4th to turn it on. Now, I just see his play as lazy, careless, and lacking urgency and passion. I'm over it. If any teams still see potential in him and Randle I try to package them with Lou for an all-star caliber player, or package them separately for better players. Who, I don't know, but this experiment isn't working, Russ is a turnover machine, and Randle is a horrible defender.

i hated his effort/intensity level, but that goes for every single player on the team last night. in the first half, he made good pass after good pass, only to have guys miss open jumpers and botch finishes in the paint. the suns announcer laughed and said he should put a jersey on because he could finish those plays.

does that give him the right to quit? no. i've hated russell's mentality since pre-draft. it's not going to change, it appears. he was hanging his head early and often. but as i said earlier, he's clearly the best player on the team, and i think he's frustrated playing with a bunch of guys who suck offensively.

^He sucks offensively too. Honestly, he can't hit a friggin shot himself so he has no right to act like a punk.

Yes and take Westbrook with us back to L.A.

    Seriously dude is a monster.

27 triple doubles are you kidding? If he doesn't win MVP it'll be disgrace, but considering Kobe didn't win it when he had that ridiculous season in 06/07 carrying garbage teams to the playoffs wouldn't be shocked.

As I said in the Ingram thread, I think Luke should bring someone in to help both him and Ingram with their shot. There are some good breakdowns of how Russell's foot placement is impacting his shot on Twitter by @Lakersfilmroom.

This is depressing because all of a sudden this future doesn't look so bright. There is still hope for Ingram, but at this point Russell, Randle, and Clarkson are what they're. Until we can find that star player this team won't go anywhere.

Exactly. Who the hell is he to have an attitude? He's nobody and accomplished nothing. I feel the same way about Randle defensively. Who the **** do you think you are? You've done absolutely nothing to deserve that attitude. I'm done with it.

disagree. he's not shooting well, and he makes some frustrating turnovers, but he's a good offensive player already.

Russell is an average playmaker, turnover machine, and a terrible shooter. How exactly is he a good offensive player?

Averaging nearly 3 turnovers a game while playing only 26.5 minutes. Shooting below 40 percent. Next.

Idk what to think of this kid. He doesn't have the same fire or drive he did in summer league. Thought our future was very bright with him. Now I'm wondering if we should trade him to just draft another PG in this draft class.

Dude! Stop it with this s---! What if another team's GM is watching? How can we unload him if Laker fans are saying this type of stuff?

Russell has a lot of Steph Curry in him. With his heart and drive being similar to Kobe and Jordan, the sky's the limit.

He's the best passer we've had since Magic. His vision is the greatest.

Guys with the name Russell seem to do pretty darn good in the NBA

    Bill Russell
    Russell Westbrook
Heck, even former Laker Bryon Russell

    :)

His lockdown defense is what has surprised me the most coming out of college. When he held Lillard to 2 of 41 shooting, I knew we could always count on him to be a great two-way player.
