Depending on what they would have to give up, it wouldn't be so bad.

 

The Cavs could trade Frye to the Lakers for Black and Huertas.

While this doesn't add size from a quantity standpoint, at least Black will bring toughness to the table. Huertas gives them another playmaker.

For the Lakers, Frye gives them a big man with range, which they currently don't have. Plus it frees up a roster spot if they want to sign someone, like Larry Sanders.

Or the Cavs can just sign Larry Sanders themselves.
