I failed to mention his screens. No one is getting around them. I saw him even give a little push on one that didn't get called. Love to see a willing screen setter that sets a real solid (thick) screen and then rolls. Giving his shooters a couple more seconds.

Zubac + Black is a legitimately good tandem at C.

Too bad that other guy and his contract is on the team :speechless:

There's going to be a time when he averages a double double with 2-3 blocks a game and it's going to be glorious.

Started off a little slow on the offensive end, but made up for it on D and then it all came together when he warmed up. Great game!

I loved that grown man rebound he grabbed with Knicks players flanking him on all sides.

His presence in the paint brings a completely different dynamic to our team. What a prospect.

I also like how he doesn't bring the ball down when he catches it up high. Very Gasol-like.

The kid is a gamer. My favorite part about him isn't even his skill, it's his mentality. Out of all the young kids, I am already starting to trust him the most to make the right decision and to make the winning play. He and Ingram are quickly becoming my favorite kids if they aren't already.

He's up there too. He's an all-heart kind of guy and that's contagious energy. He and Zu on the floor together is a good combination.

Although to be fair, Zu and any of our PFs is a good combination. The kid is good.

He is doing great as a scorer as the role man on the p-n-r, but I also like the fact that at times you can throw the ball down low to him and he can get you a bucket with a back to the basket move. If he can get more comfortable in that role, he'd be a great option for when the shot clock runs short or there's an offensive drought or what not.

I think we all saw this level of potential in Zu after a few summer league games.

I don't know that anyone SHOULD have expected him to start to realize his potential half way through his rookie season at the age of 19.

He was such an unknown to most of us I just imagine our over seas scout begging Mitch and Jim to trust him and draft this kid at all costs. Get that man a raise.

Him and Ingram to me have no ceiling in what they can be. Both have a natural feel for the game and both are so so young. It's exciting to be a lakers fan just bc of these 2
