Ingram is kind of a coach's dream. He is an unselfish player gifted with high basketball IQ and a ton of versatile talents. I love the fact that Luke recognized this kid's ability to handle the ball and the offense and started to develop him right away, continuing to give him more and more responsibility. And I remember when Luke came down on him too some games ago in December when we were on the road, and instead of moping Ingram came back later in the fourth and played his butt off. Russell, Randle and Clarkson could learn a lot from this kid.

Honestly if this is the case it makes the Deng signing look even worse. Also means we need to seriously entertain offers for Lou and Swaggy if for some reason we weren't already.

and here I was thinking we'd be the bottom dwellers that no one would respect without these vets to mentor the young guys and hold them accountable and have prevent these types of games from happening...........$130+ Mill well spent Mitch and Jimmy!!!! Kudos.....but Luke can go kick rocks since these 2 vets of ours were what he WANTED, so he better make due with what he asked for.

I think Luke needs to stop playing Ingram as a PG. He had a +/- of -45 last night. I don't recall any player with a number like this since this is being covered.

He can be a point forward but he is definitely not going to be the primary ball handler of this team.

Yep. This was supposed to be why we brought in Deng: to establish the right winning attitude. If he isn't inspiring the kids to improve, then get rid of him.

Can't trade him. He's on the books for 3 more years.

Cut him, bench him, I don't care. He was brought in to be a calming and productive veteran that keeps the kids focused. If he's not accomplishing that, then sell for peanuts or bury him on the bench. He's useless to me.

Deng isn't an on the court leader. That's frustrating.

I'm shocked at how little Deng has brought to the table. I still feel like Mozgov is what he is - an average center who can be a starter but won't play heavy minutes. He's lived up to his billing for me.

Deng has been mediocre at best for us while he was a very good player in the past. He seems like he's stuck in mud half the time on the court and his leadership has been non existent. I thought he was a great signing this summer to fill in as starting SF (and occasional small ball PF) while Ingram developed over the next couple/few years, but he's almost dead weight out there. I'm totally disappointed in him.

Yep...the Moz deal was lambasted for the most part while the Deng signing was praised. Didn't see it turning out to be the opposite.

That's how I feel. I hated the Moz signing initially but the reality is, centers, even mediocre centers are expensive. Deng was an allstar and a great defensive player just a few seasons ago but now he appears and plays like he's 36 instead of 31, like he's the NBA's version of Albert Pujols. On top of that, he's getting 72 million.

I still want to see his birth certificate.

Crazy how in this era of perimeter oriented offenses that 5's command top dollar contract wise. I was concerned when Deng took so long to heal from his injury prior to the start of the season.
