I may hate my brother but yeah those clauses and getting out of expensive tax payments, from a bunch of incompetents in the FO worked out pretty well. When we were competitive our rosters were set and we didn't need the 1st round picks.

How cool too that they beat a playoff quality team in front of Luke's old coach and making him look good.

    Time to start Ingram "permanently."

If he continues his upward ascension until the season is completed? Sure.

Just start hitting his shots at a decent % for a rookie and he'd be right there without Joel. Most minutes on the Lakers team to boot.

Well, it's hard to make an argument for anybody but Joel this season; it's not just his numbers. It's the impact he has had on the team (their winning games) and changing the identity of a losing franchise that has been stigmatized for tanking the last handful of years.

Plus, he's just had a better year.

I feel like unless Randle starts stepping up consistently, he's expendable when you have guys like Nance, Robinson, and Deng that can play PF.

Be interesting to see what another team might be willing to give at this stage based on his potential. You could see what a difference it makes when you have basketball IQ like Brandon Ingram

Next I think long and hard about DAR. He obviously thinks more of himself then everybody else at this point. That is both a good thing and a bad thing I guess. However, I feel like there might be less bravado and more focus on work with guys like Ingram, Zubac, Nance, Clarkson, Tarik, Robinson, etc.

I guess I've just started to realize how much I prefer a star with the temperament of a Brandon Ingram over one like D'Angelo Russell.

    Less

    And

And more just putting in the work and getting it done.

I don't get a lot of chances to see the boys play unless its on National TV.

After watching these guys I believe we have found our next superstar in this kid. Watching him play reminded me of the young Kobe when he first hit the Lakers. His flaw right now is he is too small (strength wise) but his game, his confidence and his control has me sold on him. He gets muscled around but still is fearless to the paint. He isn't afraid of his stroke nor does he force his game. I found myself calling him a silent assassin in waiting. Give him the right people to work with developing his game and I honestly think he will take the helm of this team back to where we want to be. I'm all in on this kid. OK that is all.
