I wouldn't mind if we just gave Mozgov away. In the few games Zubac has played he's performed way better than Mozgov has the entire season thus far.
Overall great game for Zu. He had some hockey pass assist. Lots of rebounds. Varied scoring with put backs, dunks and set shots. Set good screen again tonight to get players open. I really like this guy. We fed off of his and Tarik's energy.
While I'm glad this guy is getting his due now, its really disappointing Mozgov has already out worn his welcome this early into his contract.....
Zubac isn't that good yet. What he does though is he brings energy and actually you can see that he WANTS to play more, thus he puts up a fight. Most players on this team do not play with the same intensity. Robinson does, Black sometimes does but the others...not so much.
His first spell of solid minutes and he contributes on all facets of what a center should. Rebounds and blocks, challenging shots. His big soft hands catch anything and he finishes strong. He's going to be a little slow moving from the D-League pace to the NBA level.
lol, not sure i agree with the "not passing to you if you miss" logic, but it was funny. i think he is earning more playing time, and i'm hoping it comes from mozgov as much or moreso than black. and i wouldn't just chuck zu out there as a starter right now. there's something to be said for giving people manageable assignments.
There are plenty of other threads we can talk about Mozgov. Was hoping to come in here this afternoon seeing nothing but praise for a great game played by Zu. Clearly not the case, haha.
I thought Luke hit the nail on the head when talking about Zu's game. Luke said that Zu isn't really an energy player, but his feel for the game allows others to play that much better and be in the right spots because Zu is usually where he needs to be which helps the spacing and many other factors that make a team successful. I thought it was a great point and better observation on Luke's part.
