Closer than you think. I just don't see the "humility" in DLo to be the best. He's a "Showman" and is too caught up in himself. Randle is a solid blue collar guy but he will have his limitations.

Ingram, I just see that all around modern NBA game potential. The 20 pts 7 reb 7 ast player that always gets 1 blk and 1 stl a game.

I realized I just describe one of my fav players growing up... Scottie Pippen!

Hmmm. His 2nd season if he keeps up the Kobe like dedication to his game? Think about the player you see right now this season if he were hitting 45 - 40 on his shooting and 3s and 80 on FTs. Considering his to the basket game would open much more so more points there as well. Does not play like he's skinny. Only has to stay reasonably healthy in his career. No permanent performance limiting types of injuries.

With no injuries, I'd say he'll make that jump next year, this off season he'll gain weight and by seasons end he'll realize that with his length he can always take it to the rim easily against pgs

League is going to adjust to Ingram's play once he gets their attention. It's then going to take another year for him to adjust IMO.

I don't think we'll see Ingram be able to dominate until his 3rd year

Agreed. Soon teams will just force him to shoot. He still hasn't proven he can hit a jumper consistently, not even a free throw. He's shown tremendous potential, but he's got a long way to go before he's killing the league.

Still not an Alpha though. Who is the team leader in coming years? Is he on the roster yet? If we expect to reach the top again, it will have to be addressed.

i think someone--prior to the draft--likened ingram to leonard. i strained to see it at the time, but i started to see it early in the season. their physical profile is so different, but their games really aren't. let's hope he makes the same strides in terms of shot making that kawhi did. if he does, year three or four has him as a top notch nba player. that's a lot to ask, though. leonard's trajectory is highly unusual. who would have thought he'd become such an iso scoring threat or pick and roll ballhandler? maybe ingram can surprise in other ways, perhaps as an individual defender (something kawhi always showed).

I would say Ingram is a relatively great pick and roll player given his age and lack of experience. He's certainly a lot better than I could have expected.

I watched Leonard live in college and I never expected him to be this guy though. His growth is shocking.

I saw some Kawhi in him after summer league and preseason, mostly from his defense. Now as we see Ingram's offense develop, its looking similar to Kawhi's growth.

It also helps that their demeanor on the court is so similar.

I could see that, but I believe he'll show a lot of promise next year but it won't be till the year after that where we start to go crazy about this guy.

I've been really frustrated by his free throws, but I know he's putting in the time and effort so its just a matter of being patient knowing he'll get there.

I give Leonard most if not all the credit for his shocking growth, but you also have to point to the team and coaching staff he went to. Given Kwahi's personality he could not have gone to a better place and organization.

Match made in heaven. Props to Spurs FO and coaching staff for noticing this.

I think as all the young principals in this Lakers saga grow and progress, we will have similar optimal positive results with Ingram and Luke and his system. Much of it Pop's same philosophy of coaching an NBA team.

So much pressure on the kid right now getting all those minutes as a primary ball handler too. There's no doubt in my mind that BI will be the most improved Laker next season. Teams can adjust only so much, you can't adjust to that length unless you double (not that his offense warrants it yet), and that's just fine. No, BI is a potential BIG problem for teams. I'm fine with his development rate. He will attack that shot this summer.

Hopefully Kobe takes some time out to work with the kid. If he can get that fadeaway down pat, lookout.

Forgive me. I found a Trump Twitter generator and have been trolling a bit.
