Agree 100%. I've watched that play several times and it didn't seem like much during the game and still doesn't. Team should have stepped up to the call though. Lillard went off and the team fell apart.

I don't think he should have backed down in that moment. But if he wants to step to the big dogs in the league he's got to be able to back it up. He already wasn't shooting that great and got even worse after that.

Sucks because he had a nice streak of good games going on there. Just another step in the learning process. Kid just has to learn everything the hard way.

Yeah. After hearing his comments I thought I missed something. Maybe Russell was just talking trash too much and he had enough. I don't know, but the play itself wasn't that bad in my opinion.

Yeah, his behavior and performance last night cemented my belief that Julius is our alpha moving forward.

In instances like this, Julius has responded with 1000x more maturity and frankly effectiveness. He didn't back down from Garnett, Cousins, and Green and has earned the respect of his peers by backing it up.

That hasn't been D'Angelo's strong suit thus far. That's okay, it doesn't have to be, but his response last night was less than ideal.

I hated watching him in that game. He was frustrated and became ineffective in a very unbecoming way.

Watching the game Live it look like Lillard is the one that started the conversation. I don't blame him at all, he needed something to get him going. Kobe did this countless time throughout his career.

What I don't like hearing from the media and fans is that Russell started the back and forth and brought this on the team because I did not see it that way. "poked the bear" my a**

Just a reminder of his passes to Deng and Mozgod in the first half. He was controlling the game in the first half the same way he has been doing the past 5. Obviously we want consistency, but besides his shot he looked great in the first half.

The team was just awful in general in the 2nd half, and as Stu said all teams just have stinkers of halves like this. We can't do anything but move on.

I also am glad he stood up to Dame, but Dame is just a better player right now and showed it. The thing I liked is he finally showed a little bit of fire or competitiveness. He rarely gets into players and it was a good sign until that point that he took the matchup personally and was not going to back down. Too bad his 3 has been poo the past 5 games.

i was glad that DLo stepped up to Lillard, but still expected Lillard to crush him afterwards. I don't recall him ever having such a heated exchange with a star player before, but he needed that to keep him grounded. I haven't listened to any postgame interviews so while he may not sound like he learned a lesson, I'm sure this will ultimately become a learning experience.

If Julius is our alpha, whatever the f*** that means, I guess we are in trouble.

I thought Deng influence should be preventing these types of behavior and to teach them to be pro's?

It means Julius wiil be our leader. For whatever reason our team goes as Julius goes. He's our engine. Think Draymond with more control, emotionally.

    :D

I love Julius, but I have to agree with this. His style of play just doesn't seem sustainable as the leader of a good team. He definitely has that alpha attitude and physicality to be a very important piece, but he can't be our best player.
