Do not dismiss a piece like Nance who is a glue piece and not a cap-filler. Every champ team needs guys like him. He adds a chaoticness to this team that meshes awesome with guys like Tarik inside. Positive vibes for his FULL recovery. Make no mistake, he's a big part of what makes this squad so exciting. And I don't just mean the occasional humiliating dunk.

I'll have to disagree. I think Larry is in the mix as well.

Larry is very instrumental to this team. He adds toughness, excitement.. The confidence level of the entire team is higher when he plays. I see him as an important player that just keeps getting better.. We need Larry.

@KB24 I agree that Nance Jr. is not irreplaceable in terms of his on-the-court production. I do think however that he is important to this particular team's psyche. He's one of the few players that consistently does the right thing which is rare for a young player. His high flying acts help boost a team that's prone to lapses in concentration. Over time, you're absolutely right if Ingram and Russell and Randle don't work out, that's our downfall and not Nance. But just for this year (and the next 1-2 years) I think Nance is as important as anybody.

@RandleROFY It's a concern certainly given his history of knee issues. The same way that uber athletic guys tend to have knee problems (exhibit A- Westbrook exhibit B- Derrick Rose) I see Nance Jr's future with knee issues. The human body is not meant to leap and turn and stop the way that these guys do it. It puts enormous, tremendous strains on the ligaments in your knees and hips and feet. If Larry is going to have a long career I think he's going to have to pick his spots even more carefully when jumping and he's going to have to focus on staying Earth bound more often.

Nance is like heart of our bench, he's that critical piece of the engine that makes holds it all together. Does all the dirty work, and we're gonna miss that big time. And again, long term I'm concerned those knees will never hold up and always hold him back, absolutely sucks.

Wow, that's a a long time. Hope he recovers sooner than that. But also I don't want him to risk anything. Come back soon Junior!

Glad at least that it's not his ACL because he'd be out for the year if that were the case. Guess we just have to be thankful for that.

How about Tarik with 3 weeks roughly so far for a sprained ankle?

I thought Tarik could play, but TRob had been playing so well he replaced Tarik in the rotation.

Personally I think TRob and Tarik should play together till Nance gets back

I can't imagine IF we did not have the depth that we have now. Win total stuck at single digits and blown out a majority of the time?

I got the impression we were talking about overlapping skill sets, but isn't TRob a PF? I haven't been able to watch much lately unfortunately.

either way, the young man posts impressive rebound numbers in limited minutes. I have to imagine he's near the top as far as rebound rate even though it's a limited sample size.

Well ..... why didn't they just say what happened when it happened?? .... he bumped knees. Wouldn't have been so much worry from the rest of us, even Dr. Klapper concerned about a bone bruise with "no contact". But great news ..... he's coming along.

Nance's injured knee is making progress
