    He was killing it in the preseason and then sat out the last game or so with some soreness or something didn't he, or did he play every game? If he sat out, was it this knee? I'm hoping yes, actually because that would explain his mildy disappointing play.

    I worry more about Nick coming back too quickly with the calf strain than what DAR is going through. Possibility in the heat of play of hurting it more than D'Angelo saying "my knee is coming along but still some tenderness.

    If you'd told me before the season that we'd be struggling big time because Russ and Young were out of our starting lineup, I'd have laughed. I mean seriously, who saw that coming? After the incident between them I thought they'd never play together again, yet they have and not only that they play really well together. Russ has no issues finding Young for open threes, and I can't believe how solid Young has been on defense. I thought this was a doomed relationship, and off the court it may be, but on the court it's working, so man was I wrong. I give credit to Luke for playing them together, I give credit to Russ for apologizing and making light of the situation in at least one commercial, and I give credit to Young for being surprisingly mature about it. He IS a vet now, maybe he finally has become a little wiser.

    Lakers coach Luke Walton says starting point guard D'Angelo Russell will play against the Knicks after being sidelined for several games with a sore knee. Walton said Russell will play under a minutes restriction.
