The best part about Clarkson is, with a good offensive system, his speed can break down defences in the half court in the same way Wade use to be able to do it. This is such a useful skill. We are seeing some good players develop into great players in their 4th/5th/6th years in the league at the ages of 26/27/28. People like DeMar DeRozan, Jimmy Buttler, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Harrison Barnes, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry, Draymond Green etc etc. It's exciting to see if JC can take this step over the next few seasons. He is really improving this season on the defensive end. If he can continue that improvement on D, get a little stronger and get his 3 shot percentage up. He might surprise us. Either way he is a starter quality player in this league - great pick by the lakers in the second round!
Over penetrating happens when you go too hard and fast, and lose control. I don't recommend it. The results are painful.
JC doing what we saw him do every since his rookie season, drive to the hoop at will. But now, he's much more under control.
Needs to take a page out of the Lou book and learn how to initiate a foul so that he refs have to call it.
Very good game and solid season he is putting together. Again, though, thank you Jesse and Ryan for finding this gem at the University of Missouri. Thank you Mitch for spending 3,000,000 million dollars to acquire a 2nd rounder fom Washington and draft Jordan.
Jordan has turned into a good basketball player because of his work ethic. Nevertheless, and more importantly, Jordan has always come across as a quality person. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
Lou reminds me of how easy Nash used to make it look for a non uber athletic guy .... to get his shot and make a high % from distance and in amongst the Trees. Not to mention not being physically buff dudes .... but playing in a way that seems to make them really not injury prone. (discounting the freak circumstance [compared to the whole of his career] once he got to the Lakers)
And .... COUGH ....god bless you Let's Go Lakers wherever you are ..... that damn eye test of Yours was dead on.
only gripe I got with JC is his 3pt shooting, not good to say the least. That quick release was looking nice during practice in off-season, dont know where his shot as gone from distance
Kept going on and on about the kid going to be good. He could see it in him. While being too over Kobe too soon for many's taste.
He actually started out shooting lights out in the beginning of the season. But he probably figured out that he's more effective getting in the lane and setting up better shooters like Nick and Lou, and getting higher percentage shots around the rim and with his floater.
Jordan doesn't have much arc on his shot. He compensates by using his athleticism to jump very high. If he can improve his arc, he'd be more efficient from 3pt distance.
