I hate to be a downer, but I've always been concerned with Russell's mental make-up, whether the issue being immaturity, ADHD, or lack of focus. He's definitely got the physical tools to become a superstar. I'm just not sure when he can put everything together mentally.

Yes, games like the last one is where I see the superstar potential. And I know he can string together a few of those games (post-ASB, summer league). I'm just not convinced he can zone in for longer stretches. I hope he proves me wrong.

It's tough to be a superstar. I'd bet against everyone becoming one. I mean, for each player it's more likely he won't be one than that he will. And DAR's mindset does bother me. It's why BI is my favorite laker.

He's 20 years old and just starting his second season. There's gonna be some inconsistency.

I do think that DAR has the greatest chance of being a superstar.

Yes he has that's why it's so infuriating when he makes silly mental mistakes. He needs to harness that energy and concentrate.

Just look over at Stephen Curry's second season at age 22. 18ppg, 6apg, 4rpg, 3TO 46%FG 44%3P AS THE FIRST OPTION. And if you look at a game by game basis, he wasn't that consistent either.

Russ through 12 games is putting up similar numbers at age 20. 17ppg, 5apg, 3rpg, 3TO. 42%FG 39%3P. And we know how much the ball is being shared with the talent we have on the team.

Agreed and me personally I didn't look at Steph as a superstar till a few years ago. It took him a LONG TIME to reach that kind of status in the league.

Tough stretch coming up. Teams with better defenses that will be scheming for him; in this case I'd like to see him more off-ball...we seen some of that in the last game against Brooklyn. I'd probably do more of that moving forward.

In the next 4 games, other than shooting to going at worst 2-2... hope kinda the same with Russell, have atleast two good to great games and hopefully nothing to cause a possible loss on the other two.

Yes, great points. The likelyhood that Russ ever becomes Curry is very low, but if you'd have written off Curry's chances of being a star in his 2nd year you couldn't have been more wrong. And Curry was a 3 year college player that absolutely dominated, while Russ was a very good one and done player. Russ has plenty of time still for his game to grow quite a bit. Let's not forget a guy like Damian Lillard either who was a 4 year college player and had a really good first couple years in the league for sure, but has absolutely become a star and taken it to another level since then. It takes time to adjust in the NBA, even for the best of the best players. Russ is going to be up and down, he's still very young and streaky.

I'm happy to hear that first part, but I'd like to see him suck it up a bit.

Did he get Kobe treatment for 48 hours straight so he could play?

Zero commitment. Maybe we can get a 2nd rounder for him in trade. #cutourlosses
