Hey you big chump, DAR at least plays defense while growing into a star. Jahlil Okafor’s Effort and Awareness is a Problem Okafor is a liability on defense, and not nearly as impactful on offense as he’s made out to be. by Shamus Clancy@shamus_clancy Nov 8, 2016, 1:00pm EST http://www.libertyballers.com/2016/...e-nba-nerlens-noel-center-sixers-76ers-embiid Then again it's Philly .... he probably figures what's the point?
damn; that's harsh on okafor. i admit he hasn't been as good as i expected, though. i thought he's be at least passable defensively. nope. odd thing is that porzingis was definitely the "philly" pick, and they got scared.
and the lakers had zinger ahead of okafor, too, right? correct calls on both counts. time will tell on the zinger/dlo call, but i don't blame them for being concerned about kp. things could have gone differently there, and i viewed it as a high risk pick. super high risk. btw, i don't have a ton of respect for the knicks for picking him--as the guys with clear star potential were off the board--but it did take some balls to pick kp over winslow or stan johnson, imo. good for them, in that case.
Andrew Bogut: 'Genuine' people in NBA are few, far between Translation ..... still bitter about being let go or traded so KD could be brought in. Same guy who ran his mouth about Kobe when he came into the league. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ericks-says-nba-full-shallow-two-faced-people
Actually, no. I am with him. He talks about sensationalist "journalism" basically, and we have plenty of that. Like Ding or another formerly respected member... I get what Bogut is saying.
Lakers play for 1st time here tonight. Not sure what I think about the pictures and renderings of it. Images new Sacramento Kings arena And LOL ..... WTF with this? Sacramento. Figures. http://www.nba.com/kings/news/kings-spin-class-power-4k-video-board/ Although ..... this angle looks somehow a little familiar. Though ^^^ this particular angle rendering may not have happened..... looking at other actual photos?
i didn't think that play was that bad, other than everyone kept missing. the ball was moving, some players were moving, they were crashing the boards. they were just inept in terms of converting. i guess the back court violation was an ignominious end. that play a couple pages back where both teams just kept sloppily turning the ball over for 30 seconds was much worse.
To me it seems like the "let's not even tryangle." Melo doesn't want it, Rose doesn't want it. The buy in has never been there, and frankly as the league changed the triangle wasn't working for us in the last year of us with Phil. The lack of buy in has seen the triangle relegated to an afterthought a lot of the time for the Knicks and that is just fine for some of the crew. It reminds me of Mike Brown trying to institute the Princeton offense in his first camp with us. It was almost like we lost those matches to spite him. The result was he was dumped and the Bickerstaff "just play" philosophy was brief but undefeated. The Knicks will struggle this year. They don't have a bench and they can't win with their starters. Without a system or faith in the system you can't win. In contrast look how the Lakers are flourishing. There is no confidence in the Knicks. Melo looks happy to get his 22 points a game, but will not be happy if Porzingas develops into a 30 points per game man. Rambis as the defensive coach is a major blow to Hornaceks authority, and it seems a death knell on his future. The Knicks are in the East, but if Brooklyn can get a higher standings in the Eastern Conference then the year is a failure. Phil has dumped some useful players like Tim Hardaway Jr who is a gutsy player who added a punch to their bench. Phil has a lot to do, but is he just happy cashing that salary?
