Ferocious block. His ability to switch out onto the guard still amazes me, love it when he blitzs them from the screen.

he'd gotten burned on two or three of those earlier; glad to see him take it personally and learn from it, in game. great individual play on d. had a good sequence against millsap in the midpost late in the game after millsap had abused him a bit there earlier, too. baby steps.

As much as I wanted a star PF, NOW kinda feeling I'm glad to take that back and sit on Julius. He's progressing and maturing as the games are going.

Julius needs to take more shots. This year so far he has been extremely efficient but taking 6-7 shots a game is not going to cut it, no matter if you shoot 60%. I would rather have him sit at 48% but take 12-14 shots and feel comfortable doing so.

He is not an offensive genius to force shots but the Lakers need Randle to be around the 12-14 shots a game and 6-7 makes a game to be more assertive.

It is really hard to be anything special in the NBA if you can't score and defend. You can do whatever you want but inability to score and inability to defend in combination is just not gonna cut it. I want him to be more aggressive, especially seeing how his efficieny has been great.

I think any of us are happy to eat our words when players prove us wrong in a good way. Uncle P has me super happy he proved me wrong.

His ability to switch on the pick and rolls and chase down the block is key. He's done that a few times this season.

He's not our small ball center, though, that's Larry, and that's fine. Larry does more of the intangibles with protecting the paint and boxing out, where Julius provides the more dynamic options to make plays.

Had a bit more arc on his jumper allowing for roll ins. Good development so far.

2nd game saving rejection in the early season.

I loved hearing the call from the Hawks Broadcast and even the Human Highlight was impressed:

Randle and Nance play any decent minutes together on the floor? Can't totally recall, but I think that'd be great cause they both can somewhat guard every position so I'd be hard to catch us slipping on switches.

Randle still does some bumbling out there with his passing but he is a terror from in close. Nice block on Green. Defenders are still laying off daring him to shoot that mid-range J.

Which is why it's silly to give up on him at 21. He has all the tools. And he's gonna be better too. What a game.
