As crazy as this is about to sound... I'm okay with starting Nick Young and having JC come off the bench. As long as JC finishes the games. Would like to see this the last two games.

I want to see it Wed game 2 GS. He's earned it. Unless Luke is blowing smoke about his defense. I don't believe Luke blows smoke.

Nights he's not doing well or struggling you bring JC in sooner to see if he can do better. JC is a cyborg and doesn't get tired. He can play however many minutes needed.

I know .... I know ...... just needed to find a way to not have the incredible gif at the top buried on the last page. Here ..... listen to this guy's audio while he does this. Holy crap. ......and he freaking walks down the stairs afterward. Are you kidding me??????

I'd start Nick against GSW too, better size on Klay. But then you run into the trouble of finding playing time for Calderon/Huertas, JC and Lou.

If Nick's getting the job done on both ends [IMG] take care of JC and let the other three be sorted out by Luke as he best sees it.

I never liked Nick, but this is about results. If he is delivering and others aren't, you play him.

I kind of like the idea of Nick as a full time starter for now. He has the size (which we need) and the shooting (we desperately need) that can make our back court something to be reckoned with. Whether or not that translates into wins remains to be seen but I agree: make JC primary back up and depending on matchups from game to game will depend on who gets into games. That's what GSW does, it's worked fine for them.

Yeah he's gotta start solely based on length and for now with a new regime, is being competitive on both ends.

Don't forget sometimes you got to showcase other pieces for value of the player Incase you're trying to scheme up for a future trade.

Lou is fantastic insurance, I'm not giving him away for a second or some bs just cause.

I want a stud PF so bad.

Now I'm not advocating starting him at the 2 forever, just against GS. I'd actually start him at the 3 and move deng to the 4. Mozzy fills out my starting 5.

Deng at the 4 probably means either Randle or Nance is traded. I don't think tiny dog and Brown are ready for prime time yet, so that leaves our small forward position rather exposed.

interesting perspective there; there's some wisdom (!) in his understanding that his rep is established, no matter what. he just has to play and try to do the right thing. luke will recognize that when it happens. that's the trust a good coach engenders.

also, the "proving things to myself" quote, is this actually nick young? did he see metta's psychologist?

I only want to see how the spacing and defense is with that line-up. Probably our best shooters at their respective positions.

Young played a very controlled game tonight at both ends. He's played within the system so far and has put on a concerted effort on defense.
