This is the problem with tweeners. We have 3 of them in Russell, Clarkson and Williams. I'd much rather have prototypical players at each position. I'd trade all 3 of our tweeners for Booker in a nanosecond.

He is not a "tweener". Must be worth at least 10 more points per game.

i still think russell can/will be better than booker. clarkson's not much worse, either.

and i don't think russell's a tweener at pg. as i've already posted, there are very few john stockton floor general type pgs in the modern nba. russell's as pointguardy as almost any of the top notch guys at the position right now.

Russ isn't a tweener. His size at PG is an advantage as we have seen with his ability to back down other PGs and to bother some smaller ones on defense. He can also play SG, which is not a problem, but a luxury. The standard this dude is being held to is kind of nuts to me, he's expected to be Kobe when even Kobe wasn't Kobe in his sophomore season, and he can't say or do anything too silly or that a young person would or he isn't serious enough about his game. He can't win right now, I don't know that I've ever seen irrational hate like this for a young player just because he was taken 2nd in the draft, is confident in himself, and had a leaked cell phone video of a cheating douche, even Kobe wasn't hated until much later on in his career.

This board is cool when it comes to Russell. Boy,as you probably know, take a ride on LG after a bad game or any other website; it's really bad. There still having the Okafor/Russell debate on LG.

i have very few issues with russell as a player, and i think it's perfectly in bounds to air concerns about his off-court behavior and general approach.

Of course, but the level of hate that he gets is crazy (talking about off this site).., but I guess some of that is his own doing and some of it is takes it to the extreme, IMO.

Yes, I probably should have specified I wasn't really referring to this board. I was talking about other forums, fans of other teams on Facebook and other places, the sports media in general, Russ is not well liked at all.

I was on the Russ wagon since before the draft. Always wanted him over Okafor (would pick KAT with no.1 just like Minny).
I just hate his face, that's all :).
