i'm ambivalent here. i liked young at first, but i'm super concerned about his personality off the court (and, of course, his affiliation with the gilbert arenases of the world). i'll trust luke on this, though. he's been in a lot of locker rooms and should know when someone's really a negative force.

Well, this is good news. I think Swag is a perfect veteran for our team, to be a mentor and role-model to our young guys. He can also win some games almost by himself, which is something our team desperately needs. Are you still playing attention? Good. Because "son, I am dissapoint". Maybe we can get rid of him later, but his value is so low that I'm not sure if we can actually get anything for him.

I agree. I was really high on Young when he was playing better, but it's been so long, I had forgotten what he can do defensively when he's really dialed in.

So far, Luke has brought out the good version of Nick, so I'll trust Luke to keep him in line if he stays with the team. His play in the preseason says he's a keeper.

I've actually been impressed with Swaggy's defense this preseason. Who would have thought I would ever type those words. He is making a couple passes and has been shooting well. Didn't think he would be on the team this year but so far, so good.

He just might have actually played himself back into this team. Call me crazy but his shot especially from outside is the most reliable at the moment.

Holy smokes ..... I just watched CaCHooKa Man's highlights and Nick was nothing but net on his Js. No idea how many he missed but he was drilling the ones he made.

Nick seems to be answering the call for the coaching staff right now. A part me is okay with him sticking around.

The other part of me thinks we should sell high.

I was sick of Nick and wanted him gone but I have to admit Battletested20 was right to preach patience about seeing how he played within Luke's system. Right now he's earning his keep in a big way. He's been our most effective SF. I actually wouldn't mind seeing him start at times instead of Deng or with Deng at the four.

Well, realistically, he's the best, most athletic and reliable scorer at the 3 by far. If he buys into Luke's system and can keep at least somewhat calm around younger players, he'll be good for us this season. I know it's a big "if", but hey... anything can happen.

I like Nick on this team. He's not afraid to shoot the 3 for sure. If he weren't here, I'd bet Da'Antoni would snatch him up for Houston, where he would have career nights against the Lakers.

He hasn't won my heart. Do not want. It's preseason, Ryan Kelly fooled us in preseason last year too. His antics will return, and he will be a bad influence on the kids.
